No More - I can't take it!

...the excitement that is! New catalogue and Sale-A-Bration coming soon - but if you want anything for Christmas you need to order now. Last shipping date is 15th December - But I would give it a bit more if you can!

So as a demonstrator I get to see sneak peeks of the new seasonal catalogue and the Sale-a-Bration leaflet - and Oh My! I am so in trouble with my bank manager - but the products are simply amazing. I can't wait to share!

Yesterday I was at a Dabble Day - the opportunity to try 5 new crafts... I had 9 lovely ladies join me at my table and they had great fun. They were so engrossed!

I also showed some items I made recently and this one got a lot of attention...

It's a little votive for a battery operated tea light... doesn't look much? Check it out with the candle inside!

I heat embossed an image from the Hopeful Thoughts set on Vellum, cut the apertures with the Labels Framelits, used the Mosaic and Label Bracket punches.

The butterflies are stamped from Papillon Potpourri, punched using the Bitty Butterfly, coloured with Blendabilities and coated with Crystal Effects...

In fact I have been asked to run a workshop for a group of ladies to make this. I'm really looking forward to it!

If you would like to come to a class - or want me to hold a workshop in your home for you and some friends - please get in touch! Don't forget you can also host a party and you will get hostess credits from your party sales to get free products!

Hot Diggity Dog class - 26/08/14

So here I am with time on my hands and crafters block again! Must be the lure of the sunshine...

I have a couple more cards I made using the Hot Diggity Dog stamp set - we are using this in class on the 26th and I still have a space if you are interested!

***EXTRA DATE NOW AVAILABLE - 1st SEPTEMBER 7:30PM - Contact me to book ***

The kit for the class includes the stamp set, ink pad and Stampamajig... if you have any of these elements you can change them for something of equal value for your kit.

The first card I admit I cheated and used my retired wheel for the pawprints... it had to be done!

I used Blendabilities to colour the Pug's face - ain't he cute?

Next one uses the Big Shot for the Labels Framelits and the Beautiful Wings embosslit...

Lastly I used the Windows Collection Framelits and the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack for this card.

Hope these give you a little inspiration and look forward to seeing you at a class - or sharing your projects!

I am placing an order on the 10th, so if you can collect from me give me your order and you'll save postage!

Pinkie Swaps for Convention

By the time you read this I will be waiting for my train to Manchester!

Yup the day has finally arrived and I am so excited! Nearly 1000 Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from across Europe will be coming together for this amazing event. Hopefully I'll have some pictures to share next week!

Tonight at about 9pm after the early registration and Silver Reception, the Pinkies are meeting up. We're going to do some swapping and just really say Hi to each other.

I wanted to make exclusive Pinkie swaps but couldn't really think of what to make until a friend bought me a bag of 'Lifesavers' back from the US - for those of you who don't know they are fruit flavoured and about the same size as Polo's.

Well I figured, what could be more appropriate for Convention Goers than some Lifesavers? If nothing else it's something to suck whilst watching presentations.

I used the Labels Collection Framelits to make toppers for the bags and added Butterflies from Papillon PotPourri - punched with the Elegant Butterfly, and Flowers from Flower Shop, punched out with the Pansy Punch.

I hope my fellow Pinkies enjoy them!

Back soon with my other Convention Swap!

Framelit Partial Cut - Stampin' Up!

Sorry - I did it again! It was really late when our visitor left so I didn't post - and today I was doing the housework - then I got 'dragged' out to Prezzo's for supper - I am so full - I had 4 courses!!

Anyhow - here is one of the promised video tutorials.

I am often being asked how to make a card with a partial cut from a framelit. Making something like this -

Not sure if you can see - maybe this is a little clearer?

I used one of the Labels Collection Framelits and my Big Shot. Then decorated the card with my new Morning Post Numbers from the new catalogue coming soon (watch this space!), New Colour Collection Designer Series Papers and the hostess set - Simply Sketched.

Here is the tutorial on how to make one of these cards by making a partial Framelit cut...

You can decorate it any way you like!

I have two more videos to come over the next week so please come back and see!

I still have bookings available for September so why not give me a call on 07786 860438, or join my team and save on the products you buy.

CAS Colours and Sketches Thursday

I know it's late in the day and most of you have given up on me posting today - but here I am.

I just managed to get out with the dogs between downpours today. The weather has meant I have no desire to go Agility Training tonight. The dog would love it but I just can't get motivated.

Today's challenge from the CAS Colours and Sketches team is a double - so a sketch and colour challenge combined.

Here is my take -

I used the Elegant Lines embossing folder and punched out 4 Decorative Labels, I then stamped using stamps from Just Believe and cut it out with the Labels Collection framelit, sponging the edges slightly.

Here are the 'sketches'

Why not click here and join in the fun!

Don't forget you can join Stampin' Up! as part of my team or hold your own party!

Rubbish Blogger!!

Could someone remind me what month it is as I could have sworn it was supposed to be the summer!

OK I shouldn't moan as we did have cracking weather on Sunday and Monday - but really, torrential vertical, continual, heavy rain is just not acceptable! The dogs almost forfeited their walk, but fortunately the rain stopped.

I haven't been doing quite as much crafting as in spite of today's rain it has been relatively dry and I have been walking 4 to 6 miles a day with the dogs, making the most of the gorgeous Chiltern Hills I have the pleasure of living on.

I did make a lovely card the other day, it was an adaptation of some inspiration, I think, from Pinterest... I'm still not 'into' it like some of the other demo's and can't get hugely enthused at some of the forums - I would rather be crafting!

So the background is stamped using En Francais, I cut the Not Quite Navy mat using the Labels Collection Framelits, added a Whisper White oblong and some Not Quite Navy Taffeta Ribbon. The larger flower is stamped and cut using the Secret Garden stamps and co-ordinating Framelits, the smaller flowers are from the Sale-a-bration set and fussy cut, then embellished with Pearls. Lastly the banner was stamped using Itty Bitty Banners and cut with the corresponding framelit.

I hope you like it and will join me Thursday for another CAS Colours and Sketches Challenge.

See you soon!

Easter Treats with Stampin' Up!

Today I am sharing some Easter Treat Pouches - these were made using some inspiration from the wonderful Michelle Last. It's a scheduled post... as is tomorrows as I am off to an Agility competition for the weekend! I wasn't going to go but as I didn't get the job I applied for, I thought freezing myself in a field for the weekend was a good idea. One day I will be sectioned!

Remember you can modify and adapt the dimensions, stamps and punches you use!

Here is a link to the tutorial video on her blog... Easter Treat Pouch

Here are two attempts I made. The first uses the Spring Sampler Stamp Set, the Scallop Border Punch, Large Oval Punch, Bird Builder Punch and the Scallop Oval Punch, with some of the Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon.

The second uses the Just Believe Stamp Set, Labels Collection Framelits, the Owl Builder and Small Heart Punches and some Crumb Cake Seam Binding.

Just seems such a shame to eat them - I think I'll give these to my parents! In fact my Dad adores plain chocolate coated Ginger and I just happen to have a stash so I may make one for him using the Ginger!

I do have a card to share with you tomorrow so I hope you'll be back!

Pinkies Blog Hop - Part One!

We’re so glad you could join us on Part 1 of the Pinkies Spring/Summer Blog Hop. We are showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin’ Up!® Spring/Summer Catalogue. We have so much inspiration to share with you we will be offering two Blog Hops - Part 2 will be tomorrow (Sunday 10th February). Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep on hopping. Do come back tomorrow to see what Part 2 has in store. We love comments, so please tell us what you think!

If you have arrived from Nicole's Blog, I hope you enjoyed her focus on the Just Married stamp set. These Blog Hops are such a source of inspiration!

I have focused on some cards using the Secret Garden Bundle. It incorporates the Stamp Set and Framelits, buying as a bundle also saves you 15% on the price of the items bought seperately. There are 3 cards for you to try at home.
My first card also uses the Top Note Die, Organza Ribbon and large Pearls. The colour scheme is Rose Red and Pretty in Pink. I coloured the flowers using a Blender Pen and ink from my pads - to do this you press on the pad when it is closed and it deposits some ink on the lid for you to pick up with the tip of the blender pen. Simples!
The sentiment is from the Bring on The Cake set.
My second card is yet again pink, but this time I have used the In-Colour Primrose Petals Ink Pad. I have cut out an aperture in the card using a Window Frames Framelit and used a slightly smaller one for inside the card. One of the fantastic things about the new style ink pads is the coverage, it means you can stamp again without re-inking and get shades of the same colour - which is how I have ended up with so many different coloured flowers.
The sentiment is from the Just Believe set.

On a similar theme I created an aperture in my final card using one of the Labels Collection Framelits, the colours are Wild Wasabi and So Saffron. The Secret Garden set means you really have plenty of scope to jazz up the cards as much as you like!

The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs Set. And that gorgeous stripy Designer Series Paper is from the co-ordinating Subtles pad of 12x12 papers. Don't despair - If you don't have a Big Shot - you can still snip out these little beauties by hand!

I hope you have enjoyed my projects as much as I enjoyed making them. If you would like to know more about Stampin' Up! Would like to hold a party, or place an order, go to the links at the top of the page and get in touch.

Do take the time to carry on round the Blog Hop and leave messages when you find something you like. We all love to hear what you think of our projects and whether you have been inspired by something you have seen.

The next stop is Diana's Blog, why don't you go and take a peek at what she has been up to?
Thanks for stopping by!

Part 2 of the Pinkies Blog Hop starts HERE so why not have a look around that too! There are loads more stunning projects to see. Have fun! xxx
