Beautiful Bokeh

The Bokeh effect on yesterdays cards was quite subtle on the pastels... so I wanted to see how it was on some darker shades... Oh My! I promised you something beautiful...

What do you think of this? I am so pleased with it and feeling all inspired!

I used Perfect Plum and Marina Mist. The stamp sets were Petite Petals, Flower Shop, Papillon Potpourri and Crazy About You.

I just adore it and the picture doesn't really do it justice.

Check out yesterdays blog post for the video tutorial for this technique.

I'm looking to expand my team of demonstrators, so if you think you might be interested. Bokeh Technique - Tutorial

Hello there - I've had my usual busy week with work, Stampin' Up! Classes and have been a bit poorly. I prepped this post on Monday having tried this technique last weekend... but never got round to posting. It is the Bokeh technique that is popular at the moment.

I started simple and those are the cards I'm posting... the only thing I would say, is if you are going to try this... lay the white on quite thickly - especially with pastel backgrounds. As you can see some of mine are quite faint.

So simple but effective! Keep scrolling for the video tutorial!

I am so in love with this technique and will be sharing a REALLY special card tomorrow!

And here's the video - I hope you enjoy it and will try this yourself!

Think Spring!

I've just about had enough of winter now... So I decided to pull out a couple of cheerful sets for spring. Isn't it funny though - I have hardly seen anything made with Baby Bumblebee... and today I have seen a few people post cards made with it.

I decided to combine it with Petal Potpourri and can't help but smile when I look at the results!

Super cute!

This was the first with the cute baby bee tucked in among the flowers.

I coloured him with the Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities.

This one came in a flash of inspiration! I LOVE it!

These are coloured with the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities.

I'm going to shoot off now - I have a birthday card to make for my husbands business partner...

Love and Flowers

Last night I attended Pinkies training with the lovely Michelle Last who is my upline. In November I was in the top ten UK demonstrators for sales in her team. I was so excited and as I have been building a good size team, running regular classes and have lots of lovely regular customers, things are looking great and I am really enjoying being a demo...

But a year ago I was feeling despondent, and in recognition for my progress this year the lovely Michelle presented me with a dozen roses at training. I was so touched! What a lovely and thoughtful gesture... I really am part of the most amazing team so if you would like to join the greatest team on earth (and possibly the biggest in Europe!) please get in touch! mailme@paulaknall.co.uk

The roses are beautiful!

I have been my usual busy self so today I am sharing a selection of cards I was going to show over the last few days but never got round to!

Some Valentines... before it's too late!

For this one I used the Fun Frames embossing folder, Crazy About You bundle and Stacked With Love DSP.

For the next one I chose a simple but effective design.

I used my Sweetheart punch and then cut out the larger heart using the framelit from in the Mini Treat Bag Thinlit set - What do you think?

Here are my beautiful roses - Thank you Michelle! You can buy all the Stampin' Up! products via my shop or using the links below and they will be delivered straight to your door... you can even remain anonymous... but then I can't send you a Thank You card!

Snow Day...

Well - compared to my North American and Canadian blog followers the snow we had last night was nothing! But the Brits are ill prepared for it and as we only get snow in the south once in a blue moon, and sometimes not from one year to the next, no-one goes to the expense of buying snow tyres.

I managed to get out of the estate I live on which hadn't been gritted, albeit tentatively! But when I got to the bottom of the hill I needed to go up to work, there were cars blocking the road and hazard lights flashing! With more snow due today... I am staying home!

I thought I would share another project with those Butterfly Framelits - this time teamed up, very successfully with the Flower Patch stamps and matching Dies...

Could never have fussy cut all those fiddly flowers!

Have you figured out how I made the box yet?

I used the new Treat Bag Thinlits. Cool!
