Hand Made and Beautiful

Here is a card I made a short while ago. I have used a wide range of products, all of which are available to buy from me, although the satin ribbon will not be available from Monday there are lots of co-ordinating alternatives!

The base card is Melon Mambo card stock, I then stamped the flower sprigs from the Hopeful Thoughts set in Old Olive Ink.

6 pretty little flowers were added from Melon Mambo that were punched using one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Shapes set. These were embellished with medium pearls.

The patterned paper is from the Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper in Pacific Point. And finished with a flourish of Whisper White Satin Ribbon.

I added a sentiment stamped using the Petite Pairs stamp set with Pacific Point, punched out with the Large Oval punch and stuck to a Scalloped Oval punched out of Pacific Point card stock.

A very feminine hand made card. Just wondering who I should send it to... It's lovely creating beautiful and unique hand made cards for family and friends and they are always appreciated.

Joyous Celebrations with Stampin' Up!

I know, not even October yet and Christmas is creeping into our lives. Or in the case of the Stampin' Up! Autumn Winter catalogue it is bringing Christmas to us with a resounding thud!

So many fantastic new seasonal products, harvest, halloween and christmas all in a fantastic 40 pages of gorgeous crafting goodies.

So as soon as my first order from the catalogue arrived I started making Christmas cards. Unfortunately I have been poorly... #stinkingrottencold so have been tucked up in bed feeling miserable and aching to get crafting.

Well here's one I prepared earlier!

Stampin' Up! rubber stamps are available in clear and wood mounted so you have the flexibility to stamp the way you like. In this case I chose clear mounted stamps to use with my set of Stampin Up clear blocks.

The Real Red mat was embossed using the Adorning Accents embossing folder from the Spring Mini - (Shhh but it will be available again in the new catalogue!) I stamped the tree and the reindeer on Whisper White, then punched them out using the Decorative Label punch, then sponged on the corresponding Chocolate Chip and Garden Green to "Distress" them. The December 25th was stamped again on Whisper White but instead of distressing it I used the 2-way glue pen, that enabled me to be more accurate when applying the adhesive, and added a bit of 'Bling' with Stampin' Glitter, Dazzling Diamonds.

The ribbon is the retiring Old Olive satin ribbon. I shall be sad to see the ribbon stock go but there are lots of new ribbons coming!

This final card for today uses the co-ordinating Merry Minis rubber stamp set and the punch set! How cute! I can never resist stamp sets or punches when they go together! Stampin' Up! always seem to create new products that are irrisistable! I used the 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" square punches to make the square mats, mounted them on a strip of patterned paper from the new Festival of Prints set and then punched the borders from co-ordinating Garden Green card stock. The sentiment is from Curly Cute and the end product is mounted on Cherry Cobbler card stock.

Hopeful Thoughts...

Here is another simple card using the sponging technique...

... Marina Mist sponged over a punched Scallop Circle on Whisper White cardstock. Then matted on a Marina Mist card. I then stamped the sentiment and tree from the Hopeful Thoughts stamp set.

Quick, easy and ideal as a make and take at a home party.

If you would like to invite some friends round to make this card then just call me on 07786 860438 or e-mail me here to book a party - remember the new catalogue is released on the 1st of October!

Hold a party in October and not only will you be one of the first to see the new catalogue, but you'll get a copy FREE!

Marina Misting.

To make this card I started with a Whisper White card, I then used the Labels Collection Framelit and cut out a piece of card to use the aperture to sponge Marina Mist ink. I then cut a smaller Marina Mist label to mat on top so the sponged ink formed a frame. I inked the flower from the Love and Sympathy stamp set using my Stampin Write markers in Marina Mist and Wild Wasabi. I used the Big Shot again to cut out the stamped image with another smaller framelit. Having stuck everything together I used my Stamp a Majig to ensure I lined up the sentiment, which was from the Curly Cute set again in Marina Mist. It was a simple and quick card and I love the effect created by the sponging.

If you want to order any of these supplies please contact me.
