What a load of Scrap!

You all know me well enough by now to know I'm not a natural when it comes to scrapbooking!

So I decided to give the new Stampin' Up! Project Life products a test drive and am pleased to say I'm loving every minute! Which is one of the reasons I've been a bit lapse posting!

Project Life has given me to confidence to have a go at 'proper' scrapbooking too - I like to have a header page before each section of my album - so I thought I would share a couple with you.

This is actually a double sided single page that will be the front of the section containing my journal from our recent holiday in Wales.

It's not perfect - and it's probably not that impressive but I so love it as it is the perfect introduction to our holiday!

This is the first side.

I heat embossed with Iridescent Ice and the map was printed from t'Interweb. I cut out the photo of my car and van and thought it would be fun for them to be following our route.

The reverse side is dedicated to the area we stayed in... the camp site is Aberafon - it is amazing and in a fabulous location! I would heartily recommend it... and the general area.

As you can see the Framelits got a good outing.

This map was also from the web, I was camped for the first two days here. because I decided to travel a couple of days early and they squeezed me in. I marked the main places we visited on the map, then found icons on the web that reflected the activities we did there. I am so excited about getting the 200 photo's in the photo pockets with some notes.

It is such a shame these days, you take loads of photo's but never get them printed any more, they just sit on the computer gathering binary code... It is so lovely reliving the activities we have done so far this year through Project Life and having something 'tangible' to show for it.

Butterflies

I know - I am so rubbish! Can't believe it's been 4 days since I posted. I have loads of new goodies from the upcoming new Autumn/Winter Seasonal catalogue and haven't even opened them yet!

If you would like £150 of product for just £99 - You need to get in touch now as you only have from tomorrow until the 29th August to take advantage of this joining offer - And no further obligation though I can guarantee you'll love being part of my team and the wider Pink Ladies!

I have just been so unbelievably busy, rushing round like a loony. I was going to go away in my caravan for the weekend but decided I need to prep for Tuesdays class and get on with my Project Life album - I was up until midnight last night printing off over 200 photo's.

Sometimes although I have new stash - I like to fish out some old favourites and make something... it's warm and comforting like an old jumper.

Papillon Potpourri and Gorgeous Grunge had an outing the other day.

I started with this one and used the sentiment from Something to Say and the embossing folder is Decorative Dots. I was really pleased with the result and it's amazing how the neutrals - in this case Crumb Cake, give a card something.

Anyway - I was on a roll so decided to step it up a bit and made this one too...

I gave the sentiment more depth by mounting it on Dimensionals and added a flourish with the Linen Thread.

Isn't it amazing how much difference a tiny adjustment can make - all the products I used are shown below and are available from my on-line shop?

Well I'm off to start cutting out those photos and play with my Project Life goodies.

Back Soon! xxxx

Fabulous and productive weekend!

It all started yesterday when I cleaned the house from top to bottom! Then I walked the dogs. Hubbie went out for the evening to perform with his band and I got the whole evening in my craft room!

I made this card a few days ago and had to replicate it as I had requests from people for 3 more! They're such fun!

Two of the ones I made were opposite ways round as they were for a set of twins!

The Something for Baby stamp set and matching framelits is gorgeous!

So today I was up late but still helped a friend move some of their belongings into storage. Had a lovely pub lunch and then spent the afternoon clearing the loft! We cleared two large estate car loads... with the seats folded down and stuff on the passenger seat!

I am going to bed tonight feeling a little more comfortable in the hope the ceiling won't come down now we've cleared that lot! It was sad saying goodbye to some keepsakes from my childhood, my first suitcases that my grandparents bought me and all my old text books and notes from my Open University courses.

I'm off for an early night! Sleep tight (can't believe it's Monday tomorrow!).

Still here!

I thought I ought to post - I have been immersed in crafting for the past few days, finalising the cards we are going to make in the classes on the 26th Aug and 1st Sept... making gifts for the ladies attending class.

I've also been experimenting with 'stuff'.

You Little Furball was one of the sets I couldn't resist in the new annual catalogue.

I made a couple of cards with it the other day.

I used a masking technique and my Stampamajig to enable me to layer the flowers and get the little cat sat in amongst them (still LOVING the Flower Patch bundle)

Then I used my Stampamajig, again for this one... and some more masking.

Do you like the fact I turned this puss cat into a tabby with the Stampin' Write marker?

You'll also notice the Woodgrain embossing folder, new In-Colour ribbon and an old favourite, the Label Love stamp set and Artisan Label punch. Available as another great cost saving bundle!

I'll be back again soon - if you would like to see a video of any of these techniques - leave me a comment and I'll record one for you!

Flower Patch

I was so disappointed when Flower Patch was on backorder... but I can understand why, as it is a lovely set and sold out super quick - but it's available again now - and to have matching framelits is such a bonus!

If you want to order it and collect from me you have 4 hours before I place my order!

This was the first card I made using the new In-Colours:

Then I had a play with the framelits for this one:

Can you see how I cut out the flower to reveal the cardstock below - then I cut the middles from Gold Foil Sheet. Effective isn't it?

This final card is just straight forward stamping, I would have had to use a Stampamajig to get the placement right but these photopolymer stamps make it so much quicker.

We've got rotten heavy showers here today so I'm giving the dogs a day off and I'm off to craft!

Hope you have a fabby weekend! If you would like videos for any of the techniques on my blog - just let me know!
