Stampin' Up! - World Card Making Day - Blog Hop
Welcome to another Pinkies Blog Hop! As it's World Card Making Day today, we hope everyone will get some time to craft, and we've created some lovely projects to help inspire you to create your own beautiful card. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!
I am spending the day in my studio, but I wanted to share something stunning. The original idea was from fellow Pinkie Sam Donald - of Pootles fame!
I haven't changed it much but this was closest to her original design.
The silver on black is stunning and I loved the use of the glimmer paper with the Ovals Framelits.
The sentiment and flowers were from the Wondrous Wreath set. It's easy to overlook old favourites when you have so much lovely stuff in the seasonal! Black and silver seemed such a 'classy' touch for Christmas.
I then thought I would do something a little more traditional in red and gold.
The flowers this time are from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack - if you would like to know how I got the shape - leave me a comment if you would like a tutorial.
Keep on hopping and visit the other posts on today's hop for a little more inspiration!

Steppin' Up with Stampin' Up!
Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up!® Annual Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!
Not that you will have noticed [cough] but I have a butterfly 'thing' going on at the moment... so when I saw the gorgeous Watercolour Wings set and matching framelits... especially as a bundle saving 15%, I 'needed' them.
They also co-ordinate with the Butterflies Thinlits. Bonus!!
The first card I made is a clean and simple design, also using the new Lots Of Labels Framelits.
I used the new in-colours - Watermelon Wonder and Tip Top Taupe. I got the colour variations by 'Stamping Off', twice for the lightest shade and once for the middle shade.
Then I thought it would be good to demonstrate how easy it is to 'Step Up' your cards with a few extra techniques and embellishments.
It's essentially the same card in Delightful Dijon... with the addition of some of the new Gold Metallic Thread, embossing on the white layer of the labels, a couple of mats framing the image, the stunning Dotted Lace Trim and the extra, detailed die cut, using Vellum coloured with a Sponge Dauber.
A little tip for you... when stamping and die cutting the butterfly - leave the body until after you have die cut. it is a lot easier to then line it up and not end up cropping bits off.
Thanks for joining me on the Blog Hop, there are lots of other amazing projects from the other Pinkies so please keep hopping using the buttons below.

Pinkies Blog Hop - 2014 Annual Catalogue
I hope you are enjoying the hop so far, if you are starting here please check out the rest of the Hop!
I have so much gorgeous new product that it was hard to choose what to focus on - I have chosen Hot Diggity Dog as it is what we're using for our August class!
The first card features the Scotty dog, I coloured his jumper with Stampin' Up! Blendabilities, the apertures were cut using the Ovals Framelits and the mat was embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder.
I used the Stampamajig to get the head positioned perfectly and then the sentiment was punched out using the Word Window and Modern Label punches.
If our Scottie dog wasn't cute enough here is a super simple card made using the Dachshund... and when you open it up!
That was so much fun to make and took minutes! The last card is one of my Pop Up cards, I did a tutorial for these - this one however has a twist! I used the Poodle this time, the star stamp from Something to Say and the co-ordinating star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack. The decoration on the belly band is punched with 3 different size Circles and one of the Scallop Circle punches.
So here's the surprise - can you see what I've done?
I've reversed the images - come back Monday for the first of two techniques in my Back to Basic series that show you how to stamp mirror images.

Pinkies Blog Hop - His 'n' Hers
Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop! We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects
using products from the new Stampin' Up!® Spring/Summer Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the
end of each post to keep hopping!
If you have arrived here from Xandra's Blog - I hope you loved her creativity as much as I did!
I decided to do two contrasting projects as I think the new Spring/Summer catalogue really does have every possible style covered as usual.
My first card is one for the boys, I used the Perfect Pennants Bundle (Stamp Set & Framelits) and both the dots and the sentiment stamps were inked using the Encore Silver ink. I then cut a large pennant out of the new silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum and a smaller one with the sentiment using the framelits. for a little added detail I used the Silver Bakers Twine and one of the gorgeous Basic Metal Buttons.
Next is something super girly - flowers and pink! I admit I totally ADORE the Petite Petals Bundle (Stamp Set & Punch) I stamped a whole card front with the flowers, cut ovals out with the Oval framelits then did the same with plain coloured card stock so I could layer them on the card. I stamped the sentiment with Sassy Salutations, cutting it out with the Pennants framelits. Punched out some flowers and used a little of the Gold Sequin Trim to add some bling.
I do love those super cute sequins so I managed to sneak some more in... did you spot them?
I hope you've enjoyed my creations the next stop is Caroline's Blog so hop on over to see what she has prepared for you.

A little flutter
Just a quicky... only because I have been so busy I haven't had time to craft and I need to get ready for Wednesday's class... I'm at Pinkies training on Monday, Yoga Tuesday, Class Wednesday and Agility with the dogs Thursday!
Tomorrow is a super special day too as a few of us Pinkies (Members of Michelle Last's downline) are doing a Blog hop to introduce products from the new occasions catalogue! So please stop by to have a look!
Don't forget all the special deals throughout Sale-a-Bration... including the option to join for just £99 and get £150 worth of products. I am also booking parties for March now as you can tell I am a busy lady so get in quick with your preferred dates!
The card I am showcasing today uses two of my favourite 'go to' sets that have been neglected with Christmas and all the new products - can you believe I have 4 new stamp sets still waiting to be mounted!
Don't forget to pop back for tomorrows' Blog hop - meanwhile I'm just popping out to do some deliveries to some very excited ladies... one of whom is very heavily pregnant and in need of something she can do without having to stand up! I'm just so grateful we haven't been too badly hit by the floods - At least I don't have to swim to them.
See you tomorrow!

I have used Coastal Cabana card stock and matching Designer Series Paper, then the two gorgeous butterflies from Papillon Potpourri are mounted on one of the labels from Chalk Talk... inked up in Smoky Slate and cut out with the corresponding framelits.
Lastly that fun sentiment is from Sassy Salutations.
Isn't it a pretty card?
Here is a closer look at those butterflies. They were punched out using the coordinating punches - Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly.
See you tomorrow!

Pinkies Blog Hop - Part One!
We’re so glad you could join us on Part 1 of the Pinkies Spring/Summer Blog Hop. We are showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin’ Up!® Spring/Summer Catalogue. We have so much inspiration to share with you we will be offering two Blog Hops - Part 2 will be tomorrow (Sunday 10th February). Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep on hopping. Do come back tomorrow to see what Part 2 has in store. We love comments, so please tell us what you think!
If you have arrived from Nicole's Blog, I hope you enjoyed her focus on the Just Married stamp set. These Blog Hops are such a source of inspiration!
I have focused on some cards using the Secret Garden Bundle. It incorporates the Stamp Set and Framelits, buying as a bundle also saves you 15% on the price of the items bought seperately. There are 3 cards for you to try at home.
My first card also uses the Top Note Die, Organza Ribbon and large Pearls. The colour scheme is Rose Red and Pretty in Pink. I coloured the flowers using a Blender Pen and ink from my pads - to do this you press on the pad when it is closed and it deposits some ink on the lid for you to pick up with the tip of the blender pen. Simples!
The sentiment is from the Bring on The Cake set.
My second card is yet again pink, but this time I have used the In-Colour Primrose Petals Ink Pad. I have cut out an aperture in the card using a Window Frames Framelit and used a slightly smaller one for inside the card. One of the fantastic things about the new style ink pads is the coverage, it means you can stamp again without re-inking and get shades of the same colour - which is how I have ended up with so many different coloured flowers.
The sentiment is from the Just Believe set.
On a similar theme I created an aperture in my final card using one of the Labels Collection Framelits, the colours are Wild Wasabi and So Saffron. The Secret Garden set means you really have plenty of scope to jazz up the cards as much as you like!
The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs Set. And that gorgeous stripy Designer Series Paper is from the co-ordinating Subtles pad of 12x12 papers. Don't despair - If you don't have a Big Shot - you can still snip out these little beauties by hand!
I hope you have enjoyed my projects as much as I enjoyed making them. If you would like to know more about Stampin' Up! Would like to hold a party, or place an order, go to the links at the top of the page and get in touch.
Do take the time to carry on round the Blog Hop and leave messages when you find something you like. We all love to hear what you think of our projects and whether you have been inspired by something you have seen.
The next stop is Diana's Blog, why don't you go and take a peek at what she has been up to?
Thanks for stopping by!
Part 2 of the Pinkies Blog Hop starts HERE so why not have a look around that too! There are loads more stunning projects to see. Have fun! xxx

Stampin' Up! - Mojo Monday 279
Well I finally got my Mojo Monday Challenge entry completed last night. Poor hubby is crippled with back pain so I am having to stay home and help him today. It does mean I have 5 minutes to update my blog.
Quite a few Stampin' Up! demo's have been using a lot of Pool Party the last week or so and it helped me decide on a colour scheme for my entry.
Here is the Sketch we needed to follow:
And here is my entry:
Quite a few Stampin' Up! demo's have been using a lot of Pool Party the last week or so and it helped me decide on a colour scheme for my entry.
Here is the Sketch we needed to follow:
I started by matting Comfort Cafe DSP on Pool Party card stock. I then cut a square of Whisper White and sponged the edges with Pool Party ink. I embossed the strip of Pool Party card stock with the Chevron embossing folder and added a piece of Whisper White, cut with the Large Scallop Edgelit and embossed with the corresponding Delicate Design embossing folder. I sponged the raised elements with Pool Party too! It just adds a little definition.
The scallop oval was sponged on the edges with Island Indigo and the sentiment was from Petite Pairs, stamped in Island Indigo ink. The pretty little rose is from the new Spring Summer Catalogue - Flower Trim. I sponged the rose with Pool Party just to give it a little accent of colour and used a mini silver brad to attach 2 Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon 'leaves'.
I hope you like it and will join myself and some more of the Pinkies for our Blog Hop on Saturday!
I am hoping to enter a couple more challenges this week so please pop back!
