Lovely as a Tree 3D special

I've tried to get a little ahead of myself and as yet I have the Flowering Flourishes classes on Monday and the 12th November... But towards the end of November and early December we're doing something a little bit different!

Here are what I am planning.

First off everyone will make one of these Tea Light Screens (Get your battery operated tea lights now if you are planning on coming!)

Whilst the screens are drying we'll make this simple card with a little sponging and some Candy Dots...

Next this card with a little texture from the Woodgrain embossing folder and some more Candy Dots

Then we are going to use the Envelope Punch Board to make this super cute box, decorated with Burlap Ribbon, Linen Thread, Washi Tape and leaves cut using the Autumn Accents Bigz Die.

I LOVE the acorns and just had to add some sparkle with the Gold Glimmer Paper here.

Lastly we are making another box with the Envelope Punch Board, Decorating it with Lovely as a Tree, more elements from the Autumn Accents Bigz Die and more of that Linen Thread.

Tucked away inside are these cute cards...

It's going to be a packed class - so if there's anyone who would like to do it on a Saturday or Sunday daytime to avoid a potentially late night... just give me a shout!

Told you it was going to be a special class!

Hope you had an awesome weekend!

October Class

Hi Folks,

Hope you've had a good week. I had a rotten headache yesterday and fear I may be coming down with a cold!

I wanted to share the cards we are making in Mondays class... if you are interested in joining in - I have a space for the 12th November doing the same class... Just message me for more info by clicking to e-mail... just £10.95!!!

The four cards for the class are these... Using Flowering Flourishes, each attendee chose the colour scheme they wanted and I have made a sample in each colour so each person will end up with 4 cards all in their chosen colour in these designs.

The first to warm up with a little 'bling' and the sentiment from Sassy Salutations

Then we'll be making this one. Flowering Flourishes, Sassy Salutations and a little bling... I also added this lovely double ribbon made from Seam Binding.

The next card is possibly one of my favourites as I think Pink Pirouette and Smoky Slate are lovely together... I have also used my new I Love Lace background stamp... gorgeous isn't it!?!

And a close up of that pretty bow!

Lastly something using the new Four Feathers stamp set and matching framelits I got FREE at Convention!

I forgot to use my Embossing Buddy! So have a few white spots - lesson learned! Don't cut corners!

The feathers are lovely aren't they? Wish I had got them sooner!

Well that's me for today! If you want to place an order please use the link on the right at the top of the page and come back tomorrow where I'll be showing you projects from the November class!

Convention 2014

Well here is my convention update!

It really was an amazing few days in Brussels!

Here are my room mate Lizy and I with the amazing Michelle Last - founder of the Pinkies and our esteemed leader!

I was totally in awe of this lady - the co-founder and CEO of Stampin' Up! Shelli Gardner

Here I am on the steps of the Mont Des Arts where the convention centre was - what an amazing view over the city!

These are some of the swaps I received from my fellow demonstrators - they are all so talented. Can you see yours?

Here are just SOME of the gifts Stampin' Up! gave us - we all got a set of Project Life cards and the Four Feathers stamps and Framelits too.

Had such an amazing time with an amazing group of people and cannot wait until next year!

If you would like to join just get in touch and be part of this amazing company and experience the excitement and fun!

Convention 2014 General Swaps

Well today is the last day of convention - but I'm stopping in Brussels until Sunday afternoon to have a look round and shop!

My general swaps are small and simple for a number of reasons...

  • I had to transport them here to Brussels in one piece on an aircraft
  • I wanted to make as many as possible to swap
  • My general crafting style is simple so these reflect that
  • I wanted to be able to carry them round in as small a container as possible once I got to the convention centre so I had room for all the freebies!

I think they are just perfect little gift tags don't you?

I used the Scallop Tag Topper Punch and the little saying is from the Something to Say stamp set.

Well I'll be back in Blighty tomorrow with all my goodies and will hopefully share some with you!

Convention 2014 Pinkie Swaps

As promised it's time to share with you my 'Pinkie' swaps. The Pinkies are a team of over 300 demonstrators and it is an amazing group to be part of! We all keep in touch via a very active and supportive set of Facebook groups. Meet up for regular training... and swap!

Swapping is a way of sharing samples for inspiration and a great networking tool and social event!

These are just a little something I made to swap this year

Each flower is stamped using Petite Petals, Punched out with the Petite Petal punch, coloured with Blendabilities then coated with Crystal Effects.

Cute aren't they? Hopefully I'll have some swaps to share with you when I get back!

Have a great weekend!

Pillow Gift

By the time you read this I will be in Brussels, Belgium. I am bursting with excitement and wanted to spend the next 3 days sharing some items I prepared for convention.

It is a Stampin' Up! tradition to make a 'Pillow Gift' for your room mate. Now the lady I share with is super talented so it is really hard to think of things for her. This year these are my gifts...

I made the two little boxes and decorated them with Designer Series Paper, little flowers from Something to Say and Pearls coloured with my Blendabilities.

The first box contains 4 packs of mini Tic Tacs and the other a candle I decorated with the same DSP

It's a little hard to see but this box is double sided with the other 2 packs of Tic Tacs on the other side.

The patterned paper is Speciality Designer Series Paper - Gold Soiree and I just love this pattern!

Back tomorrow with one of my swaps!

Hope you'll stop by!

Thank You Gift

My poor dog was injured earlier in the year and has been having Hydrotherapy from the most lovely compassionate, gentle lady. So I wanted to say Thank You.

I made her a little gift and matching card.

It is a little box (that I made) containing some scented Tealights, I used Chalk Talk for the label and the Itty Bitty Accents flower punch. The leaves were from the Bird Punch. I love the Organza ribbon too - it's such a useful size!

The card was made using the Swallowtail butterfly, sentiment from Sassy Salutations, Apothecary Accents dies and flowers punched from Something to Say, Petite Petals and Flower Shop using the coordinating punches.

As well as a couple of Rhinestones I also added Dazzling Diamonds to one of the flowers... I do love that stuff!

Well tomorrow morning at the crack of dawn I am heading to the airport for this years Stampin' Up! Convention in Brussels. There will be 700 of us all mingling, swapping, crafting and seeing new products and techniques. It's so exciting!

Tomorrow here I'll be sharing the Pillow Gift I have made for my room mate, this is a Stampin' Up! tradition, Friday I'll be sharing my swaps that are just for other members of the Pinkies (Over 70 of us will be there!) and on Saturday I'll be sharing the 'General' swaps I made.

The idea of swapping is to give and receive small items made with current products that you can use as inspiration or to share as samples with your customers. I'm sure I'll be sharing some of those next week! xxx

Tea Light Screens

I am so excited - can't believe that this time next week I will have spent the day exploring Brussels before heading to the convention centre to register for Stampin' Up! European Convention 2014.

Eeek! I can't contain myself and I have made 2 different swaps and a pillow gift for my roomie!

Today I wanted to share some screens I made for Electronic Tea Lights. NOT for use with naked flames... before someone sues me for burning their house down!

I used Vellum and the Lovely as a Tree and Holiday Home stamp sets.

I did get a little carried away!

Here's a little tutorial!

Here's some I did last year too!

Holiday Home Treat Boxes

I had such a busy weekend and I was hoping to chill out as hubby was away! No such luck. I don't think I sat down for five minutes.

I have had lots of requests for some more video tutorials so spent the whole of Sunday filming and editing! Literally from 7am until 11pm!

Here is something I thought was so cute - and I know you all love little treat boxes.

How neat are they? There are so many uses I can think of... advent gifts, home warming gifts, Xmas tree decorations. The list goes on!

I used the Holiday Home stamp set and corresponding Homemade Holiday framelits. The same ones we are using for our class tonight!

Here is the video tutorial.

Happy first birthday - Block cards

Following on from last weeks card I showed celebrating a new birth, I was asked to make first birthday cards for twin girls.

I wondered how to put a twist on them... so I reversed one! I also included the girls initials. I hope their parents will love them when they are given. (Unfortunately my new lighting set up is in the loft and I hadn't time to get it down and set up for this post)

Aren't they just super cute? I was so pleased with them!

It may sound daft but I think my favourite stamp and die cut is the hanger - it's just so perfect!

I used the Something for Baby set, matching framelits, the Itty Bitty Banners set and matching framelits and a couple of punches.

What do you think? I love to read your comments!

Can't wait for my class on Monday!
