Video Tutorials...

I posted this tutorial a short while ago before being reminded it showed the Banner Punch and the Saleabration catalogue wasn't live.

I quickly took it down but can republish it now for you all to see.

This is for the Banner Pop Up Card I made a few weeks back.

Come back tomorrow for the tutorial for the Tag Gift... not to be missed!

Classes

I thought I would share with you the cards we are making at my class on Wednesday the 12th February - In case you are interested due to an unexpected problem 2 of my ladies can't make it - so if you are quite near Princes Risborough and fancy coming along please let me know!

The first card is one you have seen before...

The sentiment can be changed to any and we will be using Pink Pirouette (That you will get as part of your kit as well as the stamp set and punch!).

The second is using the same stamp set and the Apothecary Accent die. I have also used the stripes embossing folder but you can't see it clearly in this photo.

Here is a close up of the sentiment - you might see the embossing more clearly too.

Lastly a lovely card - this technique was found by one of my fellow Pink Ladies and the girls made one similar at team training, unfortunately I was unable to go.

This technique uses the new Scallop Tag Punch. Beautiful isn't it? Stampin' Up! make some great products and I love to share them with you, you can see from these three cards how versatile the Petite Petals bundle is!

So if you want to come along on the 12th - get in touch - you can message me on Facebook, call me or e-mail. Teenager...

My nephew turned THIRTEEN (where did that cute baby go!) on Friday, and you know how it is when they get to that age. They want all the latest, expensive, gadgets - I figured he's reached an age now where choosing him a present is waaaay out of my league, financially and based on my lack of knowledge of his age and gender!

So I wanted to share the little gift card/voucher/money holder I made for him instead.

How cute is that? Here is the inside view...

As he lives locally I could put cash in and take it round to him.

Now - please come back tomorrow and see the NEW catalogue and SaleaBration leaflet. For every £45 you spend you get to choose something from the catalogue! ALSO remember if you spend £150 you get £25 of FREE products and 3 FREE items!

If you would like to place an order, book a party - or join my team get in touch and take advantage of all the offers SaleaBration brings!

Something Different!

On New Years Eve - my 12 year old nephew and 6 year old niece came to stay - the nephew was happy on the Playstation with hubby... and my niece and I were crafting.

At some point my nephew came up and I persuaded him to make a card... after which he went off downstairs again. Half an hour later he was back asking to make another!

I wanted to share their creations - my nephew had no help and I only helped my niece with the pop up element - everything else they did themselves.

It just goes to show how easy it is for absolutely anyone to pick up Stampin' Up! products and make a fabulous card! Whatever their age or ability!

These were the cards made by my 6 year old niece!

These were the cards made by my nephew - aged 12!

I was amazed myself! Just awesome!

Less is More - Dynamic Duo double challenge entry

Hey baby! The theme at Less is More this week is a baby card - and I have two lovely friends due in February and both are having girls, so when I saw the Dynamic Duo this week was Pink Pirouette and Pool Party, I thought it was about time I got on with those cards!

The first is one where I have utilised my alphabet sets - a rare occurrence - it is the Sketched Alphabet, framed by the Outline Alphabet. Punched out with the 3/4" circle. The Pool Party scallop was punched with the 7/8" scallop punch. The little banners were so quick and easy with my new Banner Framelits, available to order from the 28th of January. The ribbon is the Chevron ribbon from the annual catalogue and the flowers are from the new Petite Petals set - punched out with the coordinating punch.

This second card is another stunner... I have layered two tags made with the new Tag Top punch - the spots and stripes are from the new Perfect Pennants stamp set.

I used Pool Party embossing powder for the sentiment, this was from Label Love and punched out with the coordinating punch.

I hope you have enjoyed my posts this week and I hope you'll come back for more soon!

Happy - Sneak Peeks

Today I'm using colours I don't often use - thanks to the inspiration of some new Designer Series Paper - Watercolour Wonder. It is in the new seasonal catalogue - out on the 28th... and is probably my most favourite DSP ever!

I used it here as the mat on my card.

I then punched the tag with the new Scallop Tag punch, added a little of the new Gold Bakers Twine, decorated the tag with Flower Shop, adding a flower to each from Petite Petals, punched using the matching punch with 2 pearls added to the centres. Finally the sentiment is from the new Happy Watercolour set.

Such a beautiful spring like card - roll on summer!

Pop back soon!

Last of the love - for this week!

Today I'm posting the last four (yup one extra today!) of the Valentines cards I have been creating.

The last one is completely different as I experimented a bit with colour - so I hope you like it.

The first one uses 2 Sale-a-Bration items - the Punch and Banner Blast stamp set. - If you want the Expressions Thinlits - the set is only available until the 28th of January - so you had better order it now!

I've used the Banner Blast stamp set and punch again here - teamed up with Gorgeous Grunge, the Flowerful Heart and the Sketch Alphabet set. Isn't the button sweet? that is one of the Very Vintage designer buttons.

I've used the Thinlits again here with the Language of Love stamp set - and the heart fits perfectly in our Heart Punch.

Last of all I took a punt with the colour - and opted to pick out the Coastal Cabana from the Fresh Prints Designer Series Paper Stack to make this card, The sentiment was heat embossed on the vellum card stock and then I embossed it using the Adorning Accents embossing folder. The hearts were cut out with the Hearts Collection Framelits. What do you think?

Well I'll be back tomorrow with a little something else. Hope you'll join me! Remember you only have a week to get your order in for those thinlits - they are a set of 3 - Love/Thankful and Merry.

You can book one of my classes, host a party and all your guests can experience the fun of making a card - or you can just get in touch to place an order! I have had enquiries about my Stampers 6 - and only need another 3 people to make up another set of 6 if you are interested - see the Stampers 6 tab for info.

Back tomorrow!

A little more LOVE

Well today I'm posting part two of my Valentine cards...

I realised how close it's getting to Valentines day and I hadn't posted any cards... so I'll also be posting some more tomorrow!

Here are todays' offerings -

There are two types of embossing on this card - the strip of embossed hearts from the Adorning Accents set - then the Flowerful Heart - Available for a limited period is heat embossed with Cherry Cobbler embossing powder to match the card stock - the Gold foil sheets are carrying over from the Autumn/Winter seasonal to the Spring/Summer one! Cut out using the Hearts Collection framelits. The sentiment is from See Ya Later - available exclusively, Free, with a £45 order during Sale-a-Bration.

Can you see the hint of a sparkle there? That is the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz.

For this card I used the Hearts Collection framelits and the small heart punch, Chalk Talk stamp set and matching framelits . So elegant - don't you think?

Lastly I cut the hearts out of the white card stock and used the negative for this one. I just love the rhinestones!

And the sentiment from Million & One is embossed using that lovely Cherry Cobbler embossing powder again! - I deliberately didn't use the Embossing Buddy as I wanted the fine 'mist' of red from the 'stray' embossing powders.

I hope you'll be back tomorrow for another installment of Luurve.

My Valentine...

I wanted to share a few cards with you today... they contain a couple of sneak peeks and are so simple to make!

This first one uses the existing heart punches to punch out gold Glimmer Paper and a Sneak Peek at the lovely Fancy Foil Designer Vellum - also available in silver! And there are 3 different designs in each pack. Along the top there you will have spotted the new Gold Sequin Trim.

This next card uses the Banner Blast stamp sets available during Sale-a-Bration, and the matching punch. Then the You and Me and Heart stamps are from Perfect Pennants.

Lastly I have used some individual gold sequins to decorate hearts punched out with the small heart punch, I decorated the card with Pink Pirouette using Gorgeous Grunge and added the new You and Me from Perfect Pennants in Melon Mambo.

Just a couple of little tasters of things to come in the new seasonal catalogue. If you would like to be one of the first to see these gorgeous items in action - why not book a party in February? Get in touch to order by calling 07786 860438 or e-mailing me on mailme@paulaknall.co.uk

Hope you are having a lovely weekend! We are enjoying fabulous sunshine today - a welcome break from the rain.

***TWO MORE DAYS OF LOVE TO FOLLOW! Come back tomorrow and see!***

All White part 2

Back in October I designed and posted a card on my blog that lots of people have Pinned on Pinterest. It was suggested that it would make a lovely Sympathy card.

So I decided to revisit my design and have, indeed, used a sympathy sentiment from Simply Sketched. This is a hostess set available if you have a party or spend over £150.

Here is the card I made.

I wanted a subtle 'dash' of colour so used Crisp Cantaloupe from the In-Colour selection 2013/15.

The flowers are stamped using the new Petite Petals stamp set and punched out with the corresponding punch.

The aperture was die cut with one of the Apothecary Accents dies.

I also made this one.

This time I used Melon Mambo ink and a die from the Chalk Talk set. I think the pearls really do set off these little flowers.

And here was my original card...

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and will pop back and see what else I have to show you this week! I have been a crafty little bee!

EDIT - Is anyone interested in card classes? This is one of the cards we will be making when the products become available next month. I have 4 spaces and the cost will include refreshments, the stamp set in wood with the matching punch and an Ink Pad - £31.50 please use the 'contact me' tab to get in touch for further information!

If anyone can recommend any photo editing software for my IPad - that can handle layers for my watermark, please comment and let me know! xxx

Tag Gift - Your own mini scrapbook

I received all my new goodies from the NEW seasonal catalogue the other day and am all fired up with inspiration. I came up with this little gift, and even shot a tutorial, but because the products are not released in the UK until the 28th of January, I can't show you the actual products!

I can though, show you what I made... so you'll have to wait until the 28th of January for the video!

I called this the 'Tag Gift' because it is a little gift in itself, thinking about it as I started this post, it is a mini scrapbook!

Look at that gold Bakers Twine!!! It's available in silver too! The sentiment is from Blooming with Kindness and the splodges are from Gorgeous Grunge. As for the Tag Top - there are TWO new punches from Stampin' Up! that make these for you! Inside are lots of little tags! How super cute is that?

Have you spotted the gold Watercolour Wonder Washi Tape and Gold Sequin Trim? The sentiment and star are from 2 new stamp sets Happy Watercolour and Perfect Pennants.

This poppy and the watercolour stamp are from Happy Watercolour.

Make a Wish is from Perfect Pennants.

This love heart is from another set, Language of Love. Doesn't the embossing set it off? That is an embossing folder from the annual catalogue - Needlepoint Border.

Another sentiment from Perfect Pennants - this set also comes as a bundle with co-ordinating framelits. Making cutting banners super quick and easy with your Big Shot!

These hearts are also from Perfect Pennants.

This sentiment is from Petite Pairs... isn't that Washi Tape just scrummy?

Remember to keep your eyes peeled for my step by step video with measurements. If you are interested in purchasing any of these products then please get in touch via the details on the 'Contact Me' tab. Sale-a-Bration also starts on the 28th and you'll get to choose a FREE item with every £45 you spend! I can ship across the UK.

Why not book a Stampin' Up! party for your friends and earn FREE credit to spend yourself - or even attend one of my workshops. Call me for information. xxx

Winter Blues - Less is More Challenge

This weeks challenge over at Less is More (Here) is shades of blue with the theme Winter Blues.

The thing that makes me blue about Winter is the lack of flowers, butterflies and the fact I can't take the dogs for beautiful long walks. Luckily we are in an area relatively unaffected by the flooding but our thoughts and good wishes go out to all the people affected.

Whilst I'm on the subject of the weather - I know I have quite a few followers in the US so I hope you are all safe and keeping warm with the dreadful weather you have over there! I would be grateful of some ice and snow - at least the dogs would be clean! But I don't envy you and my love goes to my family in the Mid West.

Here is my card for the challenge. I have used a non SU embossing folder as I am selling it and needed to show a sample. It has now gone! But all the other items are from Stampin' Up!

The butterflies are from Papillon Potpourri, punched out with the co-ordinating Elegant and Bitty Butterfly punches. The sentiment is from Blooming with Kindness.

The blue ink is Pacific Point - which is a stunning shade of blue, contrasted here with Smoky Slate.

I hope you like my entry and remember if you would like to book a party I have evenings and weekends available. You can also place orders with me at any time - just use the Contact Me page to get in touch.

Take care and I'll be back soon!

Wedded Bliss

Todays card is one I made for a good friend of our family. Maria and her family have been welcoming us as guests to their hotel on the small Greek Island of Agistri for over 20 years!

Hotel Andreas Agistri

It is a beautiful and welcoming family run hotel, just a short boat ride from Piraeus. The food is phenomenal and the island itself is a complete haven.

When we first started visiting, Maria, her sister and her brother were children. And last weekend Maria got married!

This is the card I made for her and her new husband Argiris.

I used Very Vanilla cardstock, a selection of heart punches and framelits, the Love and Laughter stamp set with clear embossing powder, Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder, Very Vanilla seam binding and some Pearls.

I think the clear embossing is stunning.

And I decided to decorate inside too.

I hope they liked it and wish them all the very best for the future!

Pop Up Banner Card Tutorial

Hope everyone is having a great weekend and that you haven't been affected by the awful rain. My lawn is under water but fortunately that is the extent of the affect on us so far. Though the poor dogs are having to be hosed down after every walk!

I had a few e-mails about the Pop Up Card I posted the other day. So I promised to do a tutorial.

One of these days I will manage to produce something really slick - but in reality I'm just a crafter who likes to share and help other people so I hope you enjoy it!

Please Pin to Pinterest and share... if you would like to leave a comment for me that would be lovely too.

***Due to the punch not being released until the 28th of January... the video will be off-line until after that date. Apologies!***

Do have fun trying this for yourselves!

See Ya Later... Alligator!

Wow - I'm really on a roll with these masculine cards!

This one uses the sentiment (and alligator) from See Ya Later - the embossing folder is another sneak peek of a Saleabration item - Decorative Dots. You'll also see the chevrons there from the brilliant Chevron punch.

I'm thinking this might be ideal for my nephew who is 13 in a couple of weeks. Where did all those years go. Shh - but it doesn't feel like 5 minutes ago I was changing his nappies!

If you would like to place an order, save on P&P and collect from me - my order is going in tomorrow - so get in touch before 6pm today.

Hope you are all over yesterdays hangovers... by the time you read this I will be at work. Yeuch!

Happy crafting if you are lucky enough not to be back at work yet!

Bannertastic, Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to you, can you believe it's 2014 already? Where on earth does the time go. It's nearly a year since we lost my grandad.

Today is the last of the 3 day Banner Blast posts... tomorrow I have a little something else to share. Yet another sneak peek though, so pop back and see. You will definitely be seeing more from Banner Blast though!

These cards are probably the simplest of the Banner Blast cards I have made so far, but I think they are really pretty. Again you could use a different colour combo for a more masculine card. These are the 2013/14 In-Colours.

And there's that sentiment from See Ya Later again.

Here are the different colour combos I did the card in...

Lovely aren't they?

Don't forget to pop back tomorrow... I'm back at work tomorrow so it will feel strange after such a long break!
