Perpetual Calendar

The new Spring/Summer catalogue is full to the brim with gorgeousness! I had such a big wish list and one of the first things on it was a stamp set called Perpetual Birthday Calendar - It coordinates with a super kit full of everything you need to make a fabulous wall calendar.

But I don't really have wall space for another calendar on the wall... so I came up with this.

It's a fabulous little box in Crisp Cantaloupe made using the Envelope Punch Board.

Inside I made a set of file cards - making the tabs with the punch board - I then decorated them with the Stamp Set.

There are a series of beautiful little stamps and every month too. I now have a super cute little box on my desk and all the birthdays ready to write in.

I have another project with these stamps that I hope to share tomorrow!

I think this would make a fabulous Hostess gift! If you would like one - just book a party in January or February and I'll make one especially for you!

Lovely as a Tree 3D special

I've tried to get a little ahead of myself and as yet I have the Flowering Flourishes classes on Monday and the 12th November... But towards the end of November and early December we're doing something a little bit different!

Here are what I am planning.

First off everyone will make one of these Tea Light Screens (Get your battery operated tea lights now if you are planning on coming!)

Whilst the screens are drying we'll make this simple card with a little sponging and some Candy Dots...

Next this card with a little texture from the Woodgrain embossing folder and some more Candy Dots

Then we are going to use the Envelope Punch Board to make this super cute box, decorated with Burlap Ribbon, Linen Thread, Washi Tape and leaves cut using the Autumn Accents Bigz Die.

I LOVE the acorns and just had to add some sparkle with the Gold Glimmer Paper here.

Lastly we are making another box with the Envelope Punch Board, Decorating it with Lovely as a Tree, more elements from the Autumn Accents Bigz Die and more of that Linen Thread.

Tucked away inside are these cute cards...

It's going to be a packed class - so if there's anyone who would like to do it on a Saturday or Sunday daytime to avoid a potentially late night... just give me a shout!

Super Swaps!

Two lovely ladies (in addition to Lizy) took pity on my at Telford as I had no swaps.

Both of them gave me a swap... and they were really beautiful.

Fellow Pinkie Deanna gave me this gorgeous swap made with the Envelope Punch Board... inside is a lovely hand stamped tealight candle - but I don't want to open it as it's too beautiful.

The other came from a lady called Rosie who saw me helping out on the day putting all the swaps up on the display boards and gave me one of hers.

I must admit it came in handy as I'm partial to the odd bite of chocolate (or 3) isn't it a lovely idea? Would make fabby wedding favours!

Well that's it from me for today... tomorrow I'm going to show you a lovely card that I made for a fund raising effort from Stampin' Up!.

Hand Embossing The Open Sea

Today I'm sharing a video for an ideal masculine card for any occasion!

The technique at the beginning of the video is one of the first things I learnt at our quarterly training when I first joined the Pinkies. If you would like to join my team you will also benefit from the fabulous training and social opportunities as well as being part of such a big supportive network of crafters!

Anyhow, back to the card. I have used, The Open Sea, World Map, Burlap Ribbon, Linen Thread, Natural Designer Buttons, Envelope Punch Board, Circles Framelits and my Big Shot.

Making super little Boxes - Video Tutorial

Hello, Exciting news for you tomorrow evening! So you HAVE to come back and find out the exciting news.

I'm writing a quick post from my sick bed as I wanted to share this video tutorial with you.

I like to make unique projects to demonstrate and I haven't seen these anywhere else so I hope they fall into that category!

I use the Stampin' Up! Trimmer and Envelope Punch Board... I have decorated using Petite Pairs (Sentiment), Chalk Talk and matching framelits and some of the Stretch Ruffled Ribbon with a couple of punches.

Wish Lists and Bows

Hi Folks, hope you are all well!

Today I shall start by explaining the Wish List Service I offer...

Here is what happens -

1)   You choose your wish list and send it to me
2)   You receive cards/an e-mail you can give to your 'givers' explaining the process
3)   Your 'givers' contact me with their budget
4)   I allocate the budget to an item on your list and send your 'giver' a 'gift voucher' to print off (or hard copy) and send you
5)   7 days before your special day I close the ordering and if there are hostess pounds earned I allocate them to more items from your wish list
6)   The order is despatched to the address of your choice...

I will always let you know how much the value of the order is so you can make it up to earn hostess pounds.

I mean - if your order value is £145 - it could be worth your while to spend that extra £5 and get £25 more to spend on your wish list!

Finally - and just because I can - here is a gratuitous 'Cute' picture of our new residents... who are currently playing chase up and down the stairs... how can something so small sound like an elephant ?

Today I feel honoured and slightly humbled, one of my cards has been pinned on Pinterest a great deal and it has bought a lot of traffic to my blog - I would like to say a huge 'Thank You' to all my followers and anyone who chooses to Pin one of my creations.

Today I am posting a video tutorial showcasing the Envelope Punch Board, I have tried videoing slightly differently - but I think I need to work on this! I shall be trying more angles in the weeks to come - at least now I have simplified my 'equipment' it isn't such a nightmare to set up.

My Christmas Cracker is not the same as the other 'square' ones I posted - this one is hexagonal... as hexagons are so popular...

I also use the Stampin' Trimmer and Simply Scored.

I am now also offering Gift Vouchers and a Wish List service - you give me your wish list - give your friends and family my contact details and I will allocate the money they wish to spend to items on your list. I will e-mail them a 'Voucher' they can enclose with your Birthday or Christmas card saying what they have paid for or contributed to.

Endings and New Beginnings...

Today is my last day in my present job, it won't be too traumatic as I will be starting my new job on Monday - but only in a different building. But it is still a bit scary!

And another new beginning... Introducing the new Envelope Punch Board from Stampin' Up!

It's an awesome tool and is what I used to make those lovely crackers. It is really versatile and can be used to make boxes, crackers, file cards as well as envelopes!

Here is a little video - there are absolutely hundreds of video's all over the web, so I apologise for not recording one myself but everything is mad, with the job change, nights drawing in, halloween, Christmas and craft fairs... Plus visitors needing to stay in the spare (craft) room, downright inconsiderate if you ask me!

I'm doing some housework tonight so I don't have to spend the whole weekend cleaning! Maybe I'll get time for a little crafting! Laters!

Loving those 'Flip' Cards...

And they are incredibly simple with Stampin' Up! goodies, the Thinlits dies and your Big Shot...

Just a couple I made yesterday. I used the Thinlit Card Die sets, The Santa from The Best of Christmas, the Season of Style Designer Series Paper, Some of the lush Glimmer Paper and a little of the 1/8" Silver ribbon.

Oooh - just loving these!

And don't you just LOVE the co-ordinating Cracker made using the soon to be released Envelope Punch Board!

I used the Scallop Border Punch on the ends and the lovely Cherry Cobbler Stitched Edge Grosgrain ribbon.

Absolutely Crackers!

Today I thought I would walk somewhere new for a change... so I wandered off down a wooded path and through lots of grassy fields - thinking 'Great clean dogs...'

I had walked quite a distance, and was on the home stretch, when I realised the route I was about to  take had obviously just been used by the numerous tractors I had seen driving round earlier - I was too near to where I had parked the car to turn back so needless to say, by the time the dogs and I had waded through the four inch sloppy mud... it was everywhere - even in my hair!

Everything got hosed down when I got home and the dogs are now drying out in their beds.

There are a couple of exciting new things coming your way from Stampin' Up! in the next couple of weeks including an Envelope Punch Board... now the rules are I can't show you new products until they are released but I can show you things made with them... so look at these little crackers!

They are super simple to make...

I have used the Winter Frost DSP and the Silver 1/8" ribbon... with my favourite - Chalk Talk... There is room inside for some treats so in these I have put Lindor Chocolates. What will you put in yours? Why not add a comment and let me know?
