Aaaand - Back in the room!

I need to be more positive, so I'm going to make one brief mention about my back problem... Yes it hurts... still! It's curbing my activity as I can't sit down, the Chiro is costing me a fortune I'm lucky I have a few bits I have had on my hard drive for a while to share.

I'm going to try and blog more! I've been back from holiday for a week - it was hot... I was prone and I wish I was still there. Even if I did spend most of it flat on my back!

Today I have a video tutorial for you. Please let me know if there is anything you would like a video for - just add a comment on this post and if it's possible I'll do it for you!

This is a little shaker card I made and I know they're quite popular... this is a Christmas design but you can substitute any of the stamps! And the paper!

Here's the tutorial! Enjoy! And I'll be back soon! xxx

Beautiful Butterflies

Today I want to share a little technique I discovered playing with ink and dies...

I LOVE butterflies and just had to have the Butterfly Basics stamp set and Butterfly Thinlits. If you love them too - you have a treat coming with the new catalogue!

This is the first card I made using this technique.

Isn't that butterfly stunning? This was the card I made during the video tutorial.

It's hard to see on a photo but each butterfly is coated in Dazzling Details...

In the flesh these cards are stunning and I couldn't resist making another. As you know I use lots of Thank You cards as every customer who places an order gets one!

I used the sentiment from Sassy Salutations and did a little masking here.

If you're itching to find out how it's done and have a try yourself... here is the video.

Holiday Home Treat Boxes

I had such a busy weekend and I was hoping to chill out as hubby was away! No such luck. I don't think I sat down for five minutes.

I have had lots of requests for some more video tutorials so spent the whole of Sunday filming and editing! Literally from 7am until 11pm!

Here is something I thought was so cute - and I know you all love little treat boxes.

How neat are they? There are so many uses I can think of... advent gifts, home warming gifts, Xmas tree decorations. The list goes on!

I used the Holiday Home stamp set and corresponding Homemade Holiday framelits. The same ones we are using for our class tonight!

Here is the video tutorial.

Back to Basics... #6 Heat Embossing

Heat embossing is amazing - Truly it is!

It gives such a lovely finish to your cards - and adds another dimension.

So right now whilst I'm sitting here by the pool - why not take the plunge and give it a go.

Here is the finished card. The stamp sets are Perfect Pennants with the Banner Framelits and Flowering Flourishes.

And that gorgeous little bow? It's one of my fork bows made with a comb - see my You Tube channel for the how to video!

Back To Basics - 3

With all the excitement over the sneak peeks I thought I would share another 'Back to Basics' video with you.

This one is about using the Stampamajig.

The Stampamajig is a tool that enables you to 'line up' stamped images, in particular when you don't have clear stamps.

There are a number of different times you would want to do this, writing, repeating patterns, two step stamping etc...

I used it on the Zoo Babies cards the other day to line the animals up...  and here for the stripes of the repeating pattern...

Here is the video - I hope you find it useful!

How cool is that?

Back with more videos soon as I have LOADS of ideas.

Masculine Card - Video Tutorial PtII

Hi - I'm back!

I haven't really been anywhere I promise! I was away last weekend and have no idea where this week has gone!

I did go and see Jersey Boys at the theatre in London last night and it was amazing! I still have loads to do before I go to regional training in Telford next weekend - So excited - loads of like minded demo's crafting together and learning together... and we usually get a Prize Patrol - where Stampin' Up! give us freebies!

I promised you another masculine card and here it is... along with a tutorial. I used The Open Sea and World Map stamps again with Sassy Salutations - so you get your money's worth.

This is the effect you get from 'splashing - you'll need to watch the video for that!

The Gold embossing powder makes the anchor stand out.

And here is the video - I hope you enjoy it! I have some more videos to post next week so watch this space!

Hand Embossing The Open Sea

Today I'm sharing a video for an ideal masculine card for any occasion!

The technique at the beginning of the video is one of the first things I learnt at our quarterly training when I first joined the Pinkies. If you would like to join my team you will also benefit from the fabulous training and social opportunities as well as being part of such a big supportive network of crafters!

Anyhow, back to the card. I have used, The Open Sea, World Map, Burlap Ribbon, Linen Thread, Natural Designer Buttons, Envelope Punch Board, Circles Framelits and my Big Shot.

Check out the video below and visit my YouTube channel for other fabulous tutorials!

Up in the Clouds

...is where my head has been!

I had a lovely weekend away with one of the dogs and a dear friend of mine, in a caravan with her, her baby and her dog, on a showground.

I didn't run Blaze on Sunday in any of his competitions as it was pelting down with rain and I was in a sour mood! Though we were eliminated for getting the course wrong in 2 classes Saturday, we only got 10 faults in the third class. In honesty I'm not bothered as I just like being with my friends and my dog.

Before I went away I did another short tutorial of another simple technique that most of you probably know. I just think sometimes it's useful to revisit the techniques to keep them fresh in our minds... so apologies if I am showing you something you already know.

Tomorrow I'll be back with a simple card you can make using this technique!

Hope you've had a fabulous Easter!

Sliding Easter Treat Box - Video Tutorial

The trouble with me is I like to try and be unique... there are so many Demo's posting the most amazing videos and I hope this is something you haven't seen before. The measurements are all Metric I am afraid as they are quite specific it would be really hard to do them in Imperial... But basically as the little eggs vary in size from retailer to retailer - you would be better off 'tweaking' them yourself...

I started off by creating the egg holder then designing the rest of the box around it - if that helps.

So here is what I am talking about.

And you can decorate them however you want!

It's super simple! All you really need for the basic box is a trimmer that scores and a half inch circle punch!

Here's the video - I hope you enjoy it and please add links to your blog as comments if you make and post one. I love seeing how people adapt the designs.

Scallop Tag Topper Spring Box Tutorial

Hello Crafters!

The weather (I know I keep going on about it but I am British and it's what we do! LOL) has been fabulous so I thought I would share a photo of last nights' sunset - How gorgeous is that?

I promised to do a video tutorial for you for today... and I procrastinated again last night so have done it this morning... If I am honest I was too busy oogling Ricky Wilson on the Voice - I have a serious crush on him - he just comes across as such a lovely man. (Sighs)

Anyway, where was I? Oh yes video tutorial... here is what I made.

I designed them to hold a little gift I have made for the ladies attending my classes this week - I'll show you the little gifts next week. I just like to make a very little something for each attendee.

Anyhow - here is the video - You'll need a trimmer, scorer, Scallop Tag Topper Punch, Spiral Flower Die, Little Leaves Sizzlits, Sweet Sorbet (or any other) Designer Series Paper, Big Shot and adhesive.

I forgot to mention on the video that the offcut after you cut your 8.25" paper is just the right size to cut out your spiral flower so you can make two of these from each sheet of DSP. I have also given Metric and Imperial measurements.

Tag Topper Treat Pouch Tutorial.

Hiya folks,

Just a quick post for you tonight as I have had a few people e-mail me and ask for instructions how to make those cute Easter Treat pouches I made... in particular how I made the daffodils!

So here is a quick tutorial. Please do feel free to Pin and share on your Blogs or Facebook, but it would be lovely if you could give me credit and link back to my blog (mainly because I love to see where my blog traffic comes from).

Hope you enjoy!

Tag Gift - Mini Scrapbook Tutorial

Well I did promise to post another video today and this is for the Tag Gift that I posted a little while ago...

Good job I decided to post this today as the lovely Michelle Last - our Pinkies upline, did a draw for a prize for a creation from the new catalogue - And I won! Thank you Michelle lovely! xxx Now everyone wants to see how I made it.

I had a busy day today, cleaning the house from top to bottom, cleaning out all the animals, walking the dogs... NOT in the rain! So I'm glad I had this to post as I've had no time to craft but now I've got all my chores done I have the whole day tomorrow to create gorgeous things.

I placed an order last night and just couldn't resist adding a few things for myself. Absolutely no self control!

Hope you are having a fabulous weekend and here is the video for you...
