Celebrating in style!

I have just come back from a 5 day break in the most amazing property, Wortham Manor, owned by the Landmark Trust. www.landmarktrust.org.uk

It's a stunning building and there were 14 of us celebrating my friends 50th birthday. Complete with a resident ghost - though I didn't see it! The manor is in Devon, not far from Okehampton just a few miles from Launceston (Cornwall).

I have so many photo's in my 'to Project Life' folder - I must get on with some!

I combined the old and the new for my friends 50th birthday card and obviously couldn't post it until I got home!

There were 3 hand made cards as three of us make them and I have to say the others were stunning! I just wish I had taken photo's!

I coated the butterfly with Dazzling Details again!

The flowers and leaves were all fussy cut, I will miss this stamp set!

I have a class tomorrow night so I will be back soon - don't forget you can book classes for dates to suit you as I am flexible, or you can attend the monthly class in Thame on the 2nd Monday of each month.

Back to Basics #5 - Fussy Cutting

Can you believe it's Monday? Had a fabulous weekend but it was much too short.

I'm so excited that about 18 of us Pinkies are meeting up for 'team training' tonight... we have a lovely time, chatting, sharing projects, stamping and eating the obligatory cake!

You could join us too if you join my team... Just email me - EMAIL remember for just £99 you get to choose £130 of product and that can include items from the pre-order!!! There is no further obligation and no one breathing down your neck to get you to do anything... except have fun.

I promised after yesterdays video on 2/Two Step Stamping that I would share my completed card and a short video on fussy cutting.

I hope you find it useful!

And here is that finished card - I hope you like it!

Hope to be back tomorrow - pop back and see! You can buy all these products from my on-line shop.

Back to Basics #4 Two Step Stamping

Hi Guys,

Hope you are having a lovely sunny day as we are today! The only trouble is firstly it isn't good for my hayfever and secondly I have been mostly indoors as my Mum wanted some company out shopping.

But back to today's post, it is another of my Back to Basics videos and it's about two step stamping.

Two step stamping is a form of stamping where you stamp an image then 'superimpose' another image over the top to complete the design, it is something some people are a little unsure of, particularly as the stamp sets in the catalogue don't do the finished article justice.

It is also necessary to get the images lined up accurately - it will be easy with the photopolymer sets in the new catalogue but is also made super easy with the traditional rubber stamps if you use the Stampamajig.

Here is an image from Stippled Blossoms - a two step set...

Here is another...

You stamp the lighter colour first then overlay the darker colour... But you can see how for yourself here. (And tomorrow I'll show you the finished card!)

See you back again tomorrow!

Never Ending Card

Well it's Tuesday and I'm undoubtedly having a great time in Holland - I haven't bothered trying to see if I can blog from my phone so this is a scheduled post.

Not sure if you have ever seen/heard of a never ending card, but it is one cleverly, but surprisingly simply put together so you fold it again and again to see different images on each facet...

Here is mine!

Great fun isn't it? I got my instructions from here - Stamp with Tami Not only is there a 2 part video but also a PDF with the dimensions on it!

Go on - give it a try! I have another post scheduled for Thursday so pop back and see.

Two Tone - Label Love Artisan Punch

I promised you a few days ago... before I got into video production... a gorgeous two tone card.

Well today you get two for the price of one!

Before you start looking I want to remind you the new catalogue goes live on Tuesday and if you place an order to collect from me by 6pm Wednesday evening you will get free carriage. For July only if you order £50 or more and are not local I will give you FREE delivery! Normal delivery is £4.95.

I am also thinking about running some classes in my home or I can come to you if you would like to get a couple of people together. Alternatively you can have a party where you have the opportunity of earning Hostess Credits.

The first card is made using Pool Party and Coastal Cabana on a Whisper White base  - I just love the jade greens and can't wait for Bermuda Bay too! Not long to wait now.

You'll see I used the Mosaic embossing folder again and did two lots of dying this time. The Organza ribbon with Coastal Cabana and the Simply Pressed Clay flowers with Pool Party.

The Stamp set is Label Love and the Punch is the new Artisan Label.

The second card was inspired by the first - you know those days when creativity just overwhelms you and your hands can't work as quickly as your brain!

I used Early Expresso and Crumb Cake on a Very Vanilla base.

This one uses both the Mosaic and Fancy Fan embossing folders, the 1/8" Taffeta ribbon.

The flowers are from Stippled Blossoms - two step stamping set - the sentiment is from Label Love and the punch is again the Artisan Label.

Pop back tomorrow for another video and a gorgeous 3D creation.

Dynamic Duos Challenge

I am so in love with this card and am rapidly becoming surgically attached to the Artisan Punch!

I made this card for a friend and customer as it was her birthday on Monday.

It isn't a colour combination I would have thought to use but it is super gorgeous. It has an antiquey (that probably isn't even a word!) vintage feel to it.

Coupled with the stamp from Label Love it is just fab - I also got to use one of my favourite stamp sets, Stippled Blossoms... I seem to have a few faves! Don't ask me to choose between them! I didn't think I would get along with two step stamping but it looks stunning... just a shame the catalogue doesn't do it justice.

I embossed the background with my new Mosaic embossing folder and added a few pearls.

I think it is just scrummy and hope my friend did too!

Why not join in yourself with the Dynamic Duos - visit the blog here

Come back and see me tomorrow when I hope to be posting another duo - but one of my own... You'll have to come back and look!

CAS Colours and Sketches Thursday.

I hope I remembered correctly the theme for today - Unfortunately due to home commitments I had to pull out of the Design Team - But I love to support the ladies who put so much effort and hard work into running the challenges. It is a big commitment! Visit CAS Colours and Sketches Blog - HERE

So here is today's card - The only retiring item on here is the Curly Cute stamp set - it's immensely popular and one I shall probably keep hold of as I love it so much!

The leaves are from Stippled Blossoms and the flowers from Secret Garden... I coloured them using a Blender Pen - I love how subtle and elegant they look! And they were cut out using the corresponding Framelits.

Well hopefully as you read this I 'should' be enjoying the sunshine in Tuscany... If not it's wet and miserable and I wish I was crafting!

Take care and I'll be back soon with another post!

Double Challenge Entry

I have so many lovely cards to share with you this week, that apart from my CAS Design Team entry for Thursday, this may be my only challenge card this week.

I have combined challenges from Freshly Made Sketches and Pals Paper Arts...

I used the Marina Mist as the base card, used the Stippled Blossoms Stamp Set for the flower and leaves, fussy cutting the flower and mounting it with a dimensional. The stamp set is a 2 part set, so you stamp the base colour first and use the Stamp-a-majig to overlay the darker colour. As there was only one green in the colour challenge I stamped the base once on scrap - so I had a fainter image to over stamp... then I used the Certainly Celery ribbon. The sentiment was a Sale-a-Bration set. Although it is no longer available, it isn't officially retired until next year.

I hope you like today's card and will join me tomorrow for something really simple that I created with my favourite products...
