Birthdays and Anniversaries!

We have a busy few days as not only is it our TENTH (and he hasn't killed me yet) anniversary today, it is also my Grandmothers 90th birthday on Monday so we are off out for a meal on Sunday.

I have lots of pics to show you today as I have been playing with the Stepper style of card. I am entering one for the Less is More  challenge this week which is to use scallops... I am hoping the card isn't too fussy!

What the heck - I love it and really enjoyed making it!

I have used 3 sizes of scallop circle punch, 3 sizes of circle punch, the scallop oval, oval and both butterfly punches... it is a real Punch Fest! The stamp sets are Papillon Potpourri, Flowering Flourishes and Pretty Petites and the papers are from Print Poetry.

Don't you just love it?

The next card is using my old favourite Secret Garden and a sentiment from Bring on the Cake...

If you would like to make a stepper card - then book a party in April and you and your guests can have a 'play'.

Hope to be back tomorrow with another of these cards... in a slightly different design! Want to know what I have planned??? Come back and see!

Have a fab weekend!

Busy Bee

I did warn you I had a thing about black... and it would seem heat embossing!

Today's card is a simple one I have entered in the Paper Players challenge, you can visit them here.

I used the Love Blossoms wheel, Spring Sampler stamp set and the sentiment is from Perfectly Penned.

I cut out the little bees using my 7/8" Scallop Circle.

Just a bit of fun this one... and just a few little pearls to add some sparkle!

Back tomorrow with something truly monochrome - I am really excited about it... it's a fab card!

Where's My Mojo?

Today the weather is getting me down again - we have had Fog, Rain, Snow, Sleet and a few seconds of sunshine. What is going on? Doesn't the weather realise it is nearly Summer?

I had a great evening out at a leaving do on Friday, followed by agility training with the amazing Toni Dawkins yesterday, then out again last night! So I haven't really got up to much today, apart from cleaning out animals, walking dogs and doing some washing.

Here's a bright cheery card for the Mojo Monday Challenge. It uses the Moving Forward stamp set and my various Scallop Circle punches.

The brads are from the Subtles mini brads.

Here is the sketch - visit the blog here

Hope to be back in the week if I can get some crafting done this afternoon! xxx

Less is More Challenge 107

Today I am making two entries into the Less is More challenge for this week. Mainly because I had to try out both of the ideas I had!

If you want to find out more about the challenges you can click on the picture below...

The brief was 'Up in the Air'.

So I only have one stamp set with an aircraft, have none of the balloon sets and wondered how I could meet the brief. I momentarily contemplated butterflies but thought I had done enough of those... when I first started using Stampin' Up! products I swore blind I wasn't interested in Stamping I just wanted punches. That soon changed but my love of the punches hasn't.

So I thought I would use two of my favourites for my challenge entries!

The first is the Owl punch.

I also used the Decorative and Curly Label Punches. My trusty Bakers Twine and the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.

The owls wings were made from a Scallop Circle punch.

I just love this it is soooo cute!

My second card is made using the Bird punch.

More Bakers Twine and the banner this time was cut using my Big Shot and the great dies from the Summer Catalogue, Hearts a Flutter, it has a corresponding stamp set and can be purchased as a bundle saving 15%! I sponged a little Marina Mist to match the birds and help give the banner definition.

I'm off to take one of the dogs and the cat for their annual boosters. Then I am going to spend the evening chilling! A glass of red calls me!

CAS Challenge #12

I wondered if this may be a little too simplistic. But then I realised that sometimes in life it is just the sentiment that matters. So the only stamping on this card is the sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Sentiment set.

It is my entry for the CAS challenge this week. And this is the sketch. Click on it to visit the challenge page/blog

And here is my card...

I have used my Simply Scored Borders plate for the waves and the two smallest Scallop Circle punches - each embellished with a scallop circle Itty Bitty Button tied with co-ordinating Bakers Twine. It is hard to see from the picture but I have used all 3 colours that co-ordinate with the card stock.

You could probably even send this card to a man as I don't think it's too 'girly'.

This week I will also be entering challenges from Mojo Monday, Dynamic Duos and Less is More. So pop back in the next two days to see those entries too! I have had great fun with these cards. Can't wait to share!

See you tomorrow!

Hand Made and Beautiful

Here is a card I made a short while ago. I have used a wide range of products, all of which are available to buy from me, although the satin ribbon will not be available from Monday there are lots of co-ordinating alternatives!

The base card is Melon Mambo card stock, I then stamped the flower sprigs from the Hopeful Thoughts set in Old Olive Ink.

6 pretty little flowers were added from Melon Mambo that were punched using one of the punches from the Itty Bitty Shapes set. These were embellished with medium pearls.

The patterned paper is from the Brights Patterns Designer Series Paper in Pacific Point. And finished with a flourish of Whisper White Satin Ribbon.

I added a sentiment stamped using the Petite Pairs stamp set with Pacific Point, punched out with the Large Oval punch and stuck to a Scalloped Oval punched out of Pacific Point card stock.

A very feminine hand made card. Just wondering who I should send it to... It's lovely creating beautiful and unique hand made cards for family and friends and they are always appreciated.
