Project Life...

I'm not a scrapbooker... you may have noticed. I fancied it but had no clue where to start and am always daunted by the prospect of designing a whole 12x12 page!

Stampin' Up! obviously knew this and as I mentioned previously, they have teamed up with the amazing Becky Higgins, to bring us an exclusive selection of Project Life products.

I ordered everything I could on Pre-Order, and it's now available to you. Just check out my on-line store.

I have had the most amazing fun because I can break down my 12x12 page into sections using the Photo Pockets. So I don't have to make a huge page in one go.

I also bought the framelits, journalling pens, accessory pack, corner rounder and of course the Project Life card pack.

These are my creations. (never has my mobile phone camera had so much use!)

The card stock here was cut with the framelits and I rounded the corners with my punch.

I used my Label Bracket punch to make the labels.

The pre-printed cards are fabulous... and I may have rubbish handwriting but I don't mind as my notes are personal to me. I used the Scallop Border punch and the flower from the new Itty Bitty Accents set on the picture above.

How cool are these pages? Honestly I had a ball - it was so easy and I have totally changed my mind about scrapbooking - I can't wait to get the album... I am going to take some serious pictures on holiday next week.

I've not really exploited my Washi Tape - But I think this looks so effective. I may be officially converted!

More labels - this time using the Curly Label punch.

Again, as you can see here the pre-printed cards are fabulous and I even just cut backgrounds from my DSP. I'm sure you are bored with my pictures - But I simply can't express how much fun I had creating these!

Back soon with another new product!

Monochrome

OK - so it's Saturday and I am still up bright and early to get all my housework done! I just wish the weather would improve as I really need to sterilise the water system on my camper before I go away next weekend and I don't want the system freezing with the fluid in.

I have an admission - when I was young (and anyone around in the 70's will relate to this) I wanted to be a Mod, so I used to draw targets on my jeans with chalk... and rub them off really quickly if I saw any Rockers. I was worried about being beaten up... as a child who suffered bullying at school, thinking about it it couldn't have been any worse but I had an element of self preservation even then!

So I think this would be a fabby card for any of those old Mods out there with the Black and White theme.

The tree from Lovely as a Tree is lovely and symmetrical so I think it works well on this card. The clean lines appeal to my OCD too.

I held the two pieces of card together with a post-it note to stamp the tree in Versamark then heat embossed each half separately.

I hope you love it as much as me. I used the stamp from Pretty Petites that was free during Sale-a-Bration. So I'm afraid you missed the boat! It is punched with the Petite Curly Label that is still available and backed with a Curly Label.

Back again soon... maybe even tomorrow if I get a chance to fit in some more crafting this evening! xxx

Less is More Challenge 107

Today I am making two entries into the Less is More challenge for this week. Mainly because I had to try out both of the ideas I had!

If you want to find out more about the challenges you can click on the picture below...

The brief was 'Up in the Air'.

So I only have one stamp set with an aircraft, have none of the balloon sets and wondered how I could meet the brief. I momentarily contemplated butterflies but thought I had done enough of those... when I first started using Stampin' Up! products I swore blind I wasn't interested in Stamping I just wanted punches. That soon changed but my love of the punches hasn't.

So I thought I would use two of my favourites for my challenge entries!

The first is the Owl punch.

I also used the Decorative and Curly Label Punches. My trusty Bakers Twine and the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments.

The owls wings were made from a Scallop Circle punch.

I just love this it is soooo cute!

My second card is made using the Bird punch.

More Bakers Twine and the banner this time was cut using my Big Shot and the great dies from the Summer Catalogue, Hearts a Flutter, it has a corresponding stamp set and can be purchased as a bundle saving 15%! I sponged a little Marina Mist to match the birds and help give the banner definition.

I'm off to take one of the dogs and the cat for their annual boosters. Then I am going to spend the evening chilling! A glass of red calls me!
