Hello from North Wales!

I'm sorry I've been neglecting you all but I am in a remote part of North Wales near Caernarfon.

I have so far done lots of things I've never done before!

I've been out on a jet ski, taken the dogs swimming in the sea with me, been to the pub via boat, rowed out to sea in a kayak. Some things I've done before, like the Go Karting and climbing a mountain!

The scariest thing was towing the caravan nearly 260 miles! Having only towed it 3 or 4 times!

Yesterday we visited Snowdonia National Park and visited the grave of Gelert...

The story of Gelert is here.

I was going to show you one of the views but it won't download so you'll have to wait 'til I get home! But I have lots of pics for my project life album! :-)

I'm going to be away from the internet now until Sunday! So keep on crafting.

Xxxx

Back to Basics - Reflection Technique 1

On Saturday I promised you another Back To Basics video showing the technique for reversing or reflecting an image - there are two ways I have used and the first uses the sheet from the Stampamajig.

Here is a card I made using this technique -

The stamp set was Lovely as a Tree

Here is the video!

Back soon with another reflection technique!

Pinkies Blog Hop - 2014 Annual Catalogue

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop. We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up! annual catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

I hope you are enjoying the hop so far, if you are starting here please check out the rest of the Hop!

I have so much gorgeous new product that it was hard to choose what to focus on - I have chosen Hot Diggity Dog as it is what we're using for our August class!

The first card features the Scotty dog, I coloured his jumper with Stampin' Up! Blendabilities, the apertures were cut using the Ovals Framelits and the mat was embossed with the Woodgrain embossing folder.

I used the Stampamajig to get the head positioned perfectly and then the sentiment was punched out using the Word Window and Modern Label punches.

If our Scottie dog wasn't cute enough here is a super simple card made using the Dachshund... and when you open it up!

That was so much fun to make and took minutes! The last card is one of my Pop Up cards, I did a tutorial for these - this one however has a twist! I used the Poodle this time, the star stamp from Something to Say and the co-ordinating star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack. The decoration on the belly band is punched with 3 different size Circles and one of the Scallop Circle punches.

So here's the surprise - can you see what I've done?

I've reversed the images - come back Monday for the first of two techniques in my Back to Basic series that show you how to stamp mirror images.

Shamelessly CASEd

I was watching Pinterest avidly looking for inspiration for next weeks class - That crafters block is improving!

I saw a card and loved it immediately - it is by a member of the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team.

This is my take on it and we will be making it in Monday's class!

The stamp set is Hello Darling and I used the Coastal Cabana Thick Bakers Twine and a Very Vintage designer button - coloured to match with Blendabilities! The flowers are heat embossed on patterned paper from the In-Colour Backgrounds Designer Series 12x12 paper stack.

I hope you love it as much as I do - I'll be showing some more of the cards we'll be making over the next few days. And you just HAVE to come by Saturday for the Pinkies Blog Hop.

Howdy Strangers!

Sorry it's been so long - we had month end at work combined with a bit of 'Crafters Block' and I have really struggled to find the time or Mojo to get crafting.

I have created a couple of things to share and thanks to one of my lovely customers who came to collect her order and shared a crafty session with me I am all set for a crafting fest! Except I am away this weekend - isn't it always the way?

I am also finding that I keep going back to my tried and tested stamps as there are a couple of sets I love - even though I love the new stuff too - I feel I should be showing you new products.

So here we go...

This stamp appealed to me the minute I saw it - it is just a classic design and lends itself to the new Blendabilities, it is called Sweetbriar Rose.

Tell me you don't think it's stunning!

I still have a lot to learn with the Blendabilities as you can see below, but I love them and am so excited - all my crafting time is being spent practicing - another reason I've not been creating!

Check out these lovely cards one of my customers did - it was the first time she had used Blendabilities and I think they're lovely, she used the Blended Bloom stamp!

Back soon with some more for you! Have a lovely weekend!

New 'Stuff'...

Hello people!

I've been a bit quiet this week, catching up on stuff after my hols, preparing accruals and forecasts at work and most importantly placing my order from the new catalogue. Have you had a chance to look yet?

I'm going to have an intensive week of crafting next week when my new goodies arrive, as I have been so busy blogging, running classes and doing my full time job I have really missed out on the crafting.

I'm sure you'll forgive me when I have loads of exciting things to show you.

Anyhow, this was a little something I did a few weeks back using the Life in the Forest set.

I sponged the little hill and used my stampamajig to get the placement of the mouse. Cute isn't he!

The sentiment retired on Monday and the speech bubble was cut using the Big Shot and the Word Bubbles framelits. The embossing was using the Decorative Dots embossing folder.

Don't forget you can order 24/7 - no matter where you are in the UK!
