Stampin' Up! - Get Colouring!

Stampin' Up! have been ahead of the game for ages with their stamps - and the recent craze for adult colouring and it's benefits has been an open secret in the crafting community for ages.

I've had a lot on recently as you can tell by the sparcity of my blog so I wanted to share something I did... just for the benefit of chilling out!

I am exceptionally lucky to have a fabulous set of colouring pencils but you really don't need to spend lots of money to get started... The Blended Bloom stamp is a great starting point... then a pack of pencils and you are away!

I'm selling a lot of my retired product on ebay at the moment... Knall2005 is my ebay id - so why not check it out and bag yourself a bargain!

Back soon with December's class projects!

Sad Occasions

Sorry I have been absent - my Mojo took a holiday.

What got me crafting again was some very sad news, that a lovely lady I know is fighting a losing battle with cancer. She is the same age as me, in her early 40's and was only recently diagnosed. Please spare a thought for her and her family.

Obviously I wanted to create something beautiful for her and put in as much love and care as possible. Sometimes a sad occasion calls for something beautiful to bring a moment of cheer.

Out came the Blendabilities and the Blended Bloom stamp. I also used a folded card I had not tried before.

I also used a stamp from Flowering Flourishes and you can just make out the glitter here on the edges of the folded petals. The little punched flowers are from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack.

The sentiment is from Hopeful Thoughts and really expressed what words alone couldn't. Here you can see the fold.

I've been away in the caravan this weekend with no internet - though the peace was shattered by the pub next door who had a barn dance and fireworks all last night! It will be nice to be in my own bed tonight!

Howdy Strangers!

Sorry it's been so long - we had month end at work combined with a bit of 'Crafters Block' and I have really struggled to find the time or Mojo to get crafting.

I have created a couple of things to share and thanks to one of my lovely customers who came to collect her order and shared a crafty session with me I am all set for a crafting fest! Except I am away this weekend - isn't it always the way?

I am also finding that I keep going back to my tried and tested stamps as there are a couple of sets I love - even though I love the new stuff too - I feel I should be showing you new products.

So here we go...

This stamp appealed to me the minute I saw it - it is just a classic design and lends itself to the new Blendabilities, it is called Sweetbriar Rose.

Tell me you don't think it's stunning!

I still have a lot to learn with the Blendabilities as you can see below, but I love them and am so excited - all my crafting time is being spent practicing - another reason I've not been creating!

Check out these lovely cards one of my customers did - it was the first time she had used Blendabilities and I think they're lovely, she used the Blended Bloom stamp!

Back soon with some more for you! Have a lovely weekend!

Blendabilities - Tutorial

I promised you a video today - and here it is! I literally just recorded it!

I will add a disclaimer - no two people work the same and there is no right or wrong way to use Blendabilities. This is the technique that works best for me and I wanted to share!

Here is the card I made.

And some more Blooms - the stamp is called Blended Bloom and is available in the new catalogue tomorrow - along with a selection of the Blendabilities - ask me for details as there is a limited initial selection due to demand! Yup - They're that good!

I don't yet have the Pumpkin Pie or Daffodil Delight pens so the centres were coloured with Stampin' Write Markers... not ideal as they smudge the Memento ink.

Here is the video...

So long Secret Garden

Thank you to everyone who got in touch to ask about my holiday - we had a wonderful time - the temperatures went over 40 Celsius on a few days so I kept out of the sun with my fair skin!

I took over 600 photos and have managed to whittle it down to about 75 (whilst I was washing the holiday clothes!) for the PL album I am going to do...

Here are a few of the pictures...

OK folks - this is it! You have about 18 hours to order this amazing stamp set, Secret Garden with matching framelits before it is gone for good!

I must admit I'm gutted to see it go - and whilst I've been falling in love with the Blendabilities - this is what I achieved with the Blender Pens.

Nowhere near as good as the Blendabilities but still stunning - here is the whole card...

Tomorrow I'm planning on showing you what I was practicing on the flights with Blended Bloom and my Blendabilities... as well as shooting a video tutorial so don't forget to check back!

Place an order from the new catalogue by 8pm on the 1st July and collect from me for FREE P&P!
