OK - I'm heading home today so am feeling a mixture of emotions - I miss my animals - but I've had a fabulous holiday and wish I could stay here.
Having said that I have taken a ZILLION photos and my Project Life kit is calling - Though I think I'll need some more pockets and another set of cards!
I am a bit rubbish at using my DSP - I just like to stroke it - not cut it up!
Here are a couple of quick cards I wanted to share before the DSP retires...
This is the Retro Fresh DSP - 12 x 12 and the sentiment is from Just Sayin', cut using the Word Bubbles Framelits.
I've used the same framelits and stamp set here, but the DSP is from one of the smaller paper stacks (there are 2 in the new catty!) - they are perfect for card fronts and you waste less!
Well home tonight so hopefully I'll get a chance to post Monday at the latest... if I've caught up on the washing!

Back To Basics - Background Stamps
Another Back To Basics video for you today with tips on Inking up your background stamps and an easy way to stamp exactly where you want to using a Brayer.
Firstly let me share a little card I made using the Hardwood stamp and the little mouse from Friends of the Forest. The sentiment is from Just Sayin' and cut with the Word Bubbles framelits.
Hey - I'm on a roll - this would also be suitable for kids!
Here are the products I used today: where there are 2 options for the stamp sets, the first is wood mount and the second is clear.

Magic Card
I have spent the evening merrily editing a whole series of videos! They will be coming soon, but today I'm just sharing a quicky - this is the 'Magic Card' I made having seen a few yesterday.
How cute is that? I was so excited I took it to work to show my colleagues.
I'm thinking this would be a great thing for one of the projects in my next class.... what do you think?
The stamp sets are, Life in the Forest, Sassy Salutations and Just Sayin'.

Down on the farm!
Normally I formulate a card design in my head, sometimes I'll sketch it out but I never design as I work and usually complete a card in one sitting (last night the juices were flowing and I stayed up until 2am!).
This week was the exception, I knew I wanted to use the Harvest Blessings set, in particular the image of the tractor on my Dad's Fathers Day card - as he has a small farm.
So I started by stamping it out... then thought I would make it into a pop up card... and that was the end of day one.
Throughout the week I added bits and pieces. Turning the card into a barn - I just love the little mouse from Life In The Forest peeking out from the grain sack made from a short piece of Burlap Ribbon tied with some Linen Thread.
The barn doors and walls are of course made from the Hardwood stamp, with Candy Dot door handles.
Once I had mounted the tractor and finished the front of the card, I felt the inside needed a bit more attention. In a flash of inspiration I thought how fabulous the Word Bubbles framelits would be as tractor smoke - and the sentiment from the corresponding Just Sayin' stamp was just perfect.
Finally I thought I would use the Banner punch from Saleabration to decorate the bottom - If you missed it during SAB - don't despair. It will be back in the main catalogue later in the year.
That Sketch Alphabet is such a useful size!
I can't wait to give it to him now! I'm sure he'll love it. I just need to make sure I don't put it in one of "those" safe places you can never remember. Hope you've had a good weekend!

Fond Farewell...
I started my current job back in November then just before Christmas we moved into a new office. One of the people in the new office was a chap I hadn't met before but he shared my same dry humour and I have spent the last few weeks in fits of hysterical laughter... In fact I would say I have never been happier at work. He is just such a fun guy.
Today though I had to say goodbye as he and his wife and children are moving to Canada on Monday and I'm not back at work this week.
I wanted to make him a card to wish the whole family the best of luck in their new home... I know they are looking forward to the skiing, snowboarding and I don't believe they have a five and a half hour drive from the airport to their new home! No-where in the UK is that far from anywhere!
It will be interesting to see if his new colleagues and neighbours will 'get' his dry wit and sarcasm - we brits are something else when it comes to humour!
I used the new 'Just Sayin' set and matching framelit and you might notice the Saleabration embossing folder there...
Don't forget if you want to book on one of my classes to make the wreath you need to book and pay by Friday!
The dates are the 14th, 19th or 21st of March and cost just £22.50.
