Busy Busy

Hiya folks - I have just been so busy this week I've not spent a second in my craft room.

I had two classes this week that were well attended and had great fun with the lovely ladies. I have 4 classes booked in the next few weeks so looking forward to more fun and mayhem!


I've done everything I need to do for today and am off to craft... but thought I would share this mini book I made... I've never tried one before so I started small - and I have SO discovered Crystal Effects...

The flowers are the stamp Sweetbriar Rose coloured with Blendabilities and coated in Crystal Effects.

Oooh Shiny! I've made tags, stamped on them and stuck them inside...

These are from the hostess set - I Like You and punched using the Scallop Tag Topper punch.

Hopeful that I'll have some new things to share after this afternoon/evening. It's been a tough week and I need to chill. Craft Room here I come!

Colouring Practice

Hi Guys,

Before I came away (it is darned hot here by the way!) I had a chance to play a little more with my Blendabilities.

I think I'm getting the hang of them now. I really do!

What do you think?

I only have the Cherry Cobbler ones at the moment - I used my Stampin' Write Markers for the other colours.

Again this is the new Hostess Set - I Like You - available from the 1st July - spend £150 and you qualify to get it!

The sentiment is of course Sassy Salutations.

Can't believe I'll be home soon! But it will be nice to see the animals!

Blendabilities

I finally got around to playing with some of my new stash last night... but for a sad reason. One of my friends' dogs was killed by a teenager on a motorcycle racing along in the woods on a bridleway!

It's about time the police took this sort of incident seriously - it will take a child being hit before they act against this behaviour. It happens every night as I can hear them and the evidence of the motorcycle tracks is all through the woods on the narrow footpaths too... in fact I was almost mown down by one the other day - he saw the dogs and I on the path and accelerated - I had to grab the dogs collars and jump into the nettles to escape.

Anyway - I decided to make a card for my friend and used the new Blendabilities with the new Hostess Set, I Like You. I teamed them up with the sentiment from Hopeful Thoughts.

This was my first attempt at colouring with alcohol markers.

I got a little excited and coloured my pearls too!

I added a little of the new In-Colour ribbon in Hello Honey - the same colour I used for the centre of the flowers. The leaves were coloured in Mossy Meadow - the same colour as the mat. Isn't that ribbon gorgeous? It feels as rich as it looks.
