Paper Players Challenge #134

Today I am entering a card in the Paper Players challenge. I loved the sketch as it was so simple and really gives you the opportunity to use your imagination and absolutely leaves it wide open so you can exploit your stash of crafting goodies.

As Sale-a-bration only has 3 weeks left to run I thought I would showcase some items that you can get free with your £45 orders. Remember each order for £45 qualifies for one item from the offer.

This is the sketch and if you click on it, it will take you to the challenge page so you can see all the other entries as well as the design teams' own creations. Speaking of which - I hope you liked the CAS challenge yesterday and will think about entering that one too!

This is my card -

It is a single layer card and the strip down the right hand side is from the Sycamore Street Designer Series Papers FREE during Sale-a-bration, the die cut in Calypso Coral is from the Floral Frames Framelits, embossed with the Northern Flurry embossing folder. I also cut the 'flower' in the middle from the same framelits and it was stamped with an image from the FREE Madison Avenue Stamp Set, inked in Rich Razzleberry. I topped it off with a Vintage Faceted Button, also FREE during Sale-a-bration and tied with some of the Sycamore Street Ribbon - You got it! Also available FREE. Lastly the sentiment is from another... FREE stamp set, Feeling Sentimental.

I was so pleased with the result and I hope it has left you feeling inspired!

Back tomorrow with yet another challenge!

I hope you'll leave me a comment - I honestly do love to hear what you think!

Mojo Monday - Sale-a-bration

Yesterday we had the Pinkies quarterly training and one of the things I struggle with is inspiration. So one of the challenges we were set was to try something new.

I have never had the confidence to try any of the challenges I regularly see on the web. So I decided to step out of my comfort zone, rather than CASE designs from other people's Blogs, I thought I would enter a challenge and see how I did.

This design uses new Sale-a-bration products available from Stampin' Up! until 22nd March, each £45 you spend qualifies you for another FREE Sale-a-bration item.

For this card I have used -
  • 2011-13 and 2012-14 In-Colours
  • Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper - Sale-a-bration
  • Sycamore Street Ribbon - Sale-a-bration
  • Bloomin' Marvelous Stamp Set - Sale-a-bration
  • Scallop Trim Border Punch
  • 1 3/4 Scallop Punch
  • 1 3/8 Circle Punch
  • Bitty Banners Framelits Dies

Don't forget if you would like to buy any Stampin' Up! Products I can deliver anywhere in the UK for just £4.95! Click on my contact details to get in touch!

Meanwhile see if you can think of your own project to follow one of the sketches for this week!

Saleabration Sneak Peek again!

Well folks, we've had a little snow this week and I am hoping we don't get too much more! Though I must admit it has been novel bringing clean dogs home from their walks!

I've been working on a few samples to give you a sneak preview of what sort of freebies you can expect to be able to claim with your orders when Sale-a-bration kicks off next week! If you haven't booked a party, don't despair you can still earn these freebie stamp sets, papers and other accessories with any order of £45.

What is even better is that you can earn unlimited items, so for £90 you get 2 free items, £135 you get 3 and so on!

The first card uses the Feeling Sentimental stamp set, this set includes a versatile sentiment and 3 images.

The second card uses the Patterned Occasions stamp set, each of the images includes a little sentiment but if you don't want to include the text you can either mask it or, like I have here, cut out the images. The little sentiment at the bottom is from Pretty Petites and has been punched out with another Sale-a-bration item, the Petite Curly Label punch.

The next card incorporates THREE Sale-a-bration items. A stamp from the Patterned Occasions set, Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper and the cutest little button from the Sycamore Street ribbon and brad set.

Finally I used the Bloomin Marvelous stamp set to create the really simple card below. As you can see, you don't have to be a creative genius to make some lovely cards with these fantastic freebies! So get working on your wishlist and get in touch to place your orders!
