Stampin' Up! Meets the day job!

Hiya!!! I'm back after an amazing weekend camped alongside the Thames in the caravan with my niece and the dog!

It's an odd post today because rather than focusing on SU i'm kind of focusing on me - which I'm not great at!

So you already know I earned a promotion and one of the reasons, is that I was selected along with 130 other Civil Servants from 1500 applicants, to join a development program, so I'm pretty chuffed on both accounts!

I managed to incorporate a little crafting as we were asked to create an inspiration board...

So I used my Project Life pocket pages, cardstock, ink, stamps, embossing powder... I am so pleased with it!

And this weekend Blaze won the obedience and dog the judge would most like to take home!

You know what? With the new catalogue coming soon too - Life is pretty fabulous right now!

Stampin' Up! Musical Youth!

The sun is shining here again today and I spent a lovely day crafting yesterday.

One of the cards I made recently was a birthday card for our extremely talented musical niece. It was hard to know what to make but once I got an idea in my head I was away! Please excuse a few retired and non SU elements but I loved this so much I just had to share!

Isn't it lovely? The purple is Perfect Plum and I used a sponge dauber to colour the flowers and a Sharpie for the pearls in the centres.

I used Dazzling Diamonds embossing powder for the little musical notes and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Card for the numbers.

She absolutely adored it and I was so pleased. It's nice when you go to a lot of effort and people appreciate it. That's why I love making cards!

June's classes are booking up fast so get in touch if you would like to book and don't forget you can order on-line 24/7!

Hope you're having a fab weekend! I'm just off now to collect the caravan from the service engineer as I'm planning a weekend away with another of my nieces and one of the dogs... should be fun!

Summer Days! Stampin' Up! Garden in Bloom

It seems Summer has arrived in the UK this week in style! My thermometer read 28 degrees in the shade (That's Celsius - 82 degrees F!!).

It made me feel all bright and so I got out my Garden in Bloom set and created a couple of lovely cards, I also designed the cards for June's classes!

I love a bit of 2 or 3 step stamping and I love that a simple single layer card can look so gorgeous.

One of the things I love about Spring/Summer is the blossom and the bluebells in the local woods.

This tree is just on the green by my house. Isn't it gorgeous?

And this is my bestest boy - the lovely Blaze in our local woods... I wish I could share with you the smell of those bluebells - it just fills your nose as you walk through!

I'm off for my supper now... a salad - well it's just too hot for a Sunday roast!

Stampin' Up! Dazzling Details

Just using up some retiring products I thought I would share this card.

The stunning butterflies were cut from card I had randomly sponged with different colours...

Then I added Dazzling Details.... left them to dry and stuck them on. I was making the most of it before it retires!

I just deleted loads of pictures of cards I had to post as lots of things are retiring to make way for exciting new things. And Tuesday I can put in my pre-order! So excited.

I'm off to craft with some friends now... and am making a couple of dog beds to send to Cyprus to a dog rescue charity. Wish me luck! It's been a long time since I sewed!

Enjoy the bank holiday!
