Stampin' Up! Sad Times and Botanicals

It's been a mad few days... so I find myself apologising for not posting - I do feel guilty that I am letting you down, when you log in to see inspiration and are faced with the same post again and again! I really appreciate you coming and visiting!

It's been a tough year so far, 3 good friends lost a parent, a few friends have had terrible diagnoses, friends have lost beloved pets and just yesterday 3 beautiful local thatched cottages burned to the ground. I seem to have spent quite a bit of time making sympathy cards or just feeling helpless and sad!

Don't get me wrong - I'm a happy person and grateful for everything I have - in fact everything is good in my life for a change! (Touch Wood!) I just feel so deeply for those who are suffering such sad losses.

Today I was asked to make a happy card... a retirement card for a friend of a friend. It made a lovely change so I wanted to share my creation - mainly because I'm so happy with it apart from anything else!

It sparkles all over as it's covered in Wink of Stella :-)

I'm afraid the Congratulations sentiment was from a Saleabration retired set... but it's gorgeous... can you see the sparkle?

I promise I'll try to post at least once a week!

  1. Hi Paula, lovely card, love the flowers, and the wink of stella.
Sorry things not been great for your friends, I know you're a lot younger than me, but this seems to be the way of things at times as you get older, glad you're in a " happy place "
    Best Wishes Lilian in Cornwall
