A Dozen Thoughts, Botanical Builders and Wild about flowers - Fancy Fold Flip Card

It's a sunny Sunday and I'm really excited to share this great card. I'm always trying to think of something original and designed this card - so I'm including a video tutorial - so I hope you'll watch and share.

I always start with a prototype and the Wisteria Wonder version was the first try...

Afterwards I thought about embossing the coloured panels but stuck to Designer Series Paper.

Can you see how it folds? Here is the Tutorial:

The Delightful Dijon version is the one I used for the video - can you see how it folds?

The stamp sets are Wild about Flowers and A Dozen Thoughts.

Hope you're having a fab weekend! I'll let you know about the results of my job interview next week!

Stampin' Up! - Bloomin' Heart Thinlits

I was asked to make a card for a friend who needed a special wedding card...

You know me! Off I went into action at a rate of knots!

Can you see I cut out two of the hearts using the Bloomin' Hearts Thinlits and overlapped them...

I added a few pearls.

The letters were from a retired set, heat embossed with gold and punched out using the Label Bracket punch and then layered.

The happy couple loved it. :-)

Well - I'm waiting to hear about a promotion at work. Had my interview last week and I think waiting for the result is harder than waiting for the interview!

Stampin' Up! Sad Times and Botanicals

It's been a mad few days... so I find myself apologising for not posting - I do feel guilty that I am letting you down, when you log in to see inspiration and are faced with the same post again and again! I really appreciate you coming and visiting!

It's been a tough year so far, 3 good friends lost a parent, a few friends have had terrible diagnoses, friends have lost beloved pets and just yesterday 3 beautiful local thatched cottages burned to the ground. I seem to have spent quite a bit of time making sympathy cards or just feeling helpless and sad!

Don't get me wrong - I'm a happy person and grateful for everything I have - in fact everything is good in my life for a change! (Touch Wood!) I just feel so deeply for those who are suffering such sad losses.

Today I was asked to make a happy card... a retirement card for a friend of a friend. It made a lovely change so I wanted to share my creation - mainly because I'm so happy with it apart from anything else!

It sparkles all over as it's covered in Wink of Stella :-)

I'm afraid the Congratulations sentiment was from a Saleabration retired set... but it's gorgeous... can you see the sparkle?

I promise I'll try to post at least once a week!
